Diggin' In the Crates

The late great Prince Nelson George once sung, ”2000 Zero Zero party over oops out of time, So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999”. Trust Sideshow Sid to take this quite literally. “Diggin’ In The Crates,” is just that; a deep dive into Sid’s record buying habits before “2000 Zero Zero.” On any given show you might here the Doo-Wop of the Flamingos followed by an obscure 60’s B-side from Status Quo; the anger of “California Uber Alles” quelled by Aretha’s rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water;” the baffling freneticism of Drum & Bass made, less so, by the hypnotic rhythms of 70’s Disco. Asked to sum up his show, ever the wag, Sid said, ”Imagine “Coronation St” with a soundtrack curated by Quentin Tarantino”. Looks like we’re all getting to bed late Thursday morning!
