    The Best Thing

Scripture: John 3:16 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the greatest thing that can ever happen in a person’s life. There have been many meaningful moments in life — marriage, adoption, milestones, and memories that changed everything. But none of them compare to the moment of salvation. John 3:16 is one of the most recognized verses in all of Scripture: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” Because salvation changes eternity. It is not simply religion or morality. It is the invitation into eternal life through Jesus Christ. A gift purchased at the greatest cost imaginable and offered freely to anyone who believes. If you already know Christ, this devotional is a reminder of the greatest gift you have ever received. And if you have never trusted Him, this could become the best day of your life. The invitation is still open. Exactly as you are. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org #John316 #ChristianPodcast #Salvation #JesusChrist #ChristianEncouragement Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Leaving the Light On

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:5 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about what it means to shine as children of light in a dark world. A simple light left on at home can completely change the feeling of arriving in the dark after a long day. It cuts through the darkness and reminds you that someone prepared the way for you. Paul tells believers in 1 Thessalonians 5:5: “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day…” That identity comes with responsibility. We are called to let our light shine — not through perfection or attention-seeking, but through faithful, steady presence. Through kindness, integrity, grace, and consistency in a world filled with darkness and discouragement. Someone around you may be walking through a hard season right now. Wondering if anyone sees them. Wondering if anyone cares. You may be the light God uses to help guide them home. This devotional is an encouragement to stop hiding the light God has placed within you and let it shine for His glory. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org #ChristianPodcast #LightOfTheWorld #Faith #ChristianLiving #Encouragement Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. That Someone Is You

Scripture: Ephesians 2:19 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about what it means to help others find their place in the family of God. Most of us know what it feels like to walk into a room where we do not belong. To feel uncertain, disconnected, and on the outside looking in. Paul reminds believers in Ephesians 2 that through Christ, strangers and foreigners have been brought near and made part of God’s household. But someone helped open that door for us. Someone prayed. Someone spoke up. Someone shared Christ. And now we are called to do the same for others. There are people all around us searching for hope, belonging, and truth. They may not even know exactly what they are missing yet. But we do. This devotional is a reminder that sharing Christ is not simply an obligation. It is the natural response of someone who remembers what it felt like to be welcomed in. Someone in your life is waiting for an invitation. That someone is you. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org #ChristianPodcast #Evangelism #Faith #JesusChrist #ChristianEncouragement Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Not in Vain

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about the quiet faithfulness that often feels unseen. As a paramedic, there were many calls where I never knew the outcome. We would do everything we could, hand the patient off at the hospital, and move on to the next emergency without ever knowing what happened afterward. But one conversation with a doctor reminded me that work done faithfully can matter far more than we realize. Paul gives believers this encouragement in 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord… forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” Sometimes faithfulness feels ordinary. Hidden. Unnoticed. But God sees every prayer, every act of obedience, every seed planted in faith. None of it is wasted. If you have been tempted to quit, discouraged because you cannot see results, or wondering whether your efforts matter at all, this devotional is for you. Keep going. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org #ChristianPodcast #Faithfulness #ChristianEncouragement #Devotional #TrustGod Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Even If

Some of the strongest words of faith are only two words long: Even if. Even if the prayer isn’t answered the way you hoped. Even if the situation doesn’t change. Even if the outcome looks nothing like what you asked for. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on what it means to trust God beyond results—when faith is no longer tied to what happens next. True faith is not built on outcomes. It is built on who God is. There are moments when trusting God is easy—when everything is going well, when prayers are answered quickly, when life feels aligned. But real faith is revealed in the moments when it isn’t. When you still trust… When you still believe… When you still stand… Even if nothing changes. In This EpisodeThe difference between conditional faith and true trustWhy outcomes often shape how we view GodWhat it means to trust God beyond circumstancesHow faith grows in seasons where nothing seems to changeWhy God is still worthy—even without the answer you expectedKey TruthFaith is not proven when everything works out.
It is proven when you still trust God—even if it doesn’t. Reflection QuestionsIs your trust in God tied to a specific outcome? What would it look like to trust Him even if things don’t change?Where is God inviting you to move from expectation to surrender?Closing EncouragementGod is not only good when the answer is yes. He is good. Period. And a faith that says “even if” is a faith that cannot be shaken. Keep Calling

There are moments when it feels like your prayers are going unanswered. You’ve asked. You’ve waited. You’ve come back again… and still, nothing seems to change. It can be discouraging. It can make you wonder if God is listening—or if you should just stop asking altogether. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we’re reminded of a simple but powerful truth: Don’t stop calling. Prayer is not about getting everything right. It’s not about saying the perfect words. It’s about persistence. Dependence. Trust. Even when the answer hasn’t come… Even when the timing doesn’t make sense… Even when you feel like nothing is happening… God is still listening. In This EpisodeWhy unanswered prayer can feel discouragingThe importance of persistence in prayerTrusting God’s timing instead of our ownWhat it means to keep coming back to GodHow waiting and prayer work together to grow faithKey TruthSilence does not mean absence.
Delay does not mean denial. Reflection QuestionsWhat have you been praying about that feels unanswered?Have you been tempted to stop asking? What would it look like to keep trusting God in this season?Closing EncouragementGod is not asking you to have perfect faith. He is inviting you to keep coming back. To keep asking. To keep seeking. To keep knocking. Because even when you don’t see it… He is still working. More Than Sunday

It’s possible to have a faith that looks right… but doesn’t reach very far. To attend, to listen, to participate— and yet keep our relationship with God contained to a single day of the week. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we look at a challenging but necessary truth: Faith was never meant to be limited to Sunday. It was never meant to be a moment. A routine. A box we check. It was meant to shape how we live—every day, in every place, in every moment. In This EpisodeThe difference between routine faith and lived-out faithWhy is it easy to confine our relationship with God to certain momentsWhat it looks like for faith to carry into everyday lifeHow consistency matters more than occasional intensityWhy real faith shows up in the ordinary, not just the visibleKey TruthFaith is not something we visit once a week.
It is something we live every day. Reflection QuestionsHas your faith become something you mostly engage with on Sundays? What areas of your daily life are untouched by your relationship with God?What would it look like to carry your faith into your everyday routine?Closing EncouragementGod is not looking for a single day of your attention. He is inviting you into a daily relationship— one that shapes how you think, speak, respond, and live. Not just in the moments that are visible… but in the ones no one else sees. Because real faith is not confined to a place or a time. It is lived—consistently, quietly, every day. While You Wait

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following God. It’s the space between what He promised and what you can actually see. The place where time stretches longer than you expected. Where answers feel delayed. Where progress seems slow—or nonexistent. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about what it means to trust God not after the answer comes—but while you wait. Because waiting is not wasted time. It is a place where faith is refined, trust is deepened, and God is still at work—even when it feels like nothing is happening. In This EpisodeWhy waiting often feels more difficult than the problem itselfThe tension between God’s promises and present realityWhat God is doing in seasons that feel slow or silentHow waiting shapes your faith and dependence on HimWhy God’s timing is intentional—even when it’s hard to understandKey TruthGod is not inactive while you wait.
He is working in ways you cannot yet see. Reflection QuestionsWhat are you currently waiting on God for?How has the waiting affected your faith? What would it look like to trust Him in this season, even without answers? Closing EncouragementWaiting does not mean God has forgotten you. It does not mean His promise has failed. It simply means the story is still unfolding. Stay faithful. Stay close. Stay expectant. God is working—even here, even now.
