    Lilith: The Original Refusal

She didn't ask for permission. She didn't wait to be chosen. She didn't soften her edges so the story would be easier to tell. She just left. In this episode we enter Phase 3 — The Dark Feminine — and we begin where it all begins. With Lilith. The first woman in recorded history to refuse. Not in rage. Not in chaos. In the clear, embodied knowing of a woman who understood her own nature and would not pretend otherwise. We talk about who Lilith actually is — not the demonized version, not the cautionary tale whispered to keep women in line — but the original story. The woman created from the same earth, at the same time, as equal. And what happened to her story when the people writing history realized that a woman who refuses and survives is more dangerous than any monster. We talk about the kiddie plugs. The safety features we install on ourselves so the people around us don't have to deal with the full voltage of who we actually are. Not fake. Not dishonest. Just — managed. The full self present but filtered for other people's comfort. And we talk about the pull. The feeling that arrives before you have language for it. The knowing that something about the way you've been living doesn't fit anymore. The courage to move before you have a plan, before you know what the wilderness looks like, before anyone has done it before you. This episode is not a mythology lesson. It's an invocation. She's already in you. She has always been in you. The question was never whether you were Lilith. The question was how long you were going to keep the plugs in the wall. The Woman After the Jump: Separation as Initiation

This is where The Descent ends. And something else begins. In this final episode of Phase 2, we talk about what separation actually is — not the paperwork, not the logistics, not the moment something officially ends. The separation that happens before any of that. The one that starts in your body before your mind catches up. The one that feels like standing at the edge of a cliff looking down thinking — this might not be a good idea. And then one day you're standing at the same ledge. Same drop. Same distance. Same cliff. Different you. That's when you know the initiation happened. Not because the circumstances changed. Because you did. We talk about the old chapter — heavy, predictable, moving through a life that looked like yours but wasn't fully yours, pulled by strings you couldn't even feel. And we talk about what the new one feels like — live wire, electric, like a kid standing at the gates of Disney World with no idea which way to run first. We talk about what surfaces when you finally land in the water. The parts you tucked away. The woman who is funny and flirty and free and completely done asking for permission. The badass who hid her own light in other people's stories for far too long. And we talk about what you have to leave behind to cross. The looking outside. The need for someone else to confirm what was already true. The Descent is complete. You came in grieving. You're leaving knowing. What's coming next lives in the dark. In the ancient. In the parts of feminine energy that got buried so deep they were written out of the story entirely. They have names. Old names. And we're going to meet them. The Slow Erasure: The End of the Good Girl

What if the version of you that kept everything together wasn't weak — but wasn't fully you either? In this episode of Digging Deep, we go into the heart of Phase 2 — the good girl. Not the caricature. The real one. The one who was built slowly, lovingly, by people who meant well, in a world that rewarded her for making herself easier to be around. We talk about how the cage gets built — not by villains but by a thousand small corrections. The bikini at the pool. The emotion reframed as drama. The defiance called too much. And how somewhere along the way she stopped needing anyone else to police her — because she learned to do it herself. We talk about the double bind she lives in — too emotional to have feelings, but strong enough to carry everyone else's. Too much when she's fully herself, but the first one called when something hard needs handling. And we talk about what it actually costs. The relationship you were being good for that turned out to be paper thin. The moment something rose up that you wouldn't push back down — and what that response told you about everything. This episode is not about villainizing the good girl. It's about grieving her. Because she wasn't a performance — she was real. She carried you. She paved the way. And she deserves to be thanked before she's released. If this episode finds you — sit with it. Let it be heavy. And think of one woman in your life who has been making herself smaller for people who never had to do the same. Send her this one. Rage, Resentment, and the Truth Beneath Them

What if your rage isn't the problem? What if it never was? In this episode of Digging Deep, we pick up where grief left us — and follow it into the heat beneath it. Because rage and grief are two sides of the same coin. And when grief has been held too long, managed too well, filed away one too many times — it stops being quiet. It gets loud. It gets honest. It takes the wheel. But here's what most of us were never told: the rage isn't what keeps you stuck. It's the guilt layered on top of it. The you're being unfair, you're too much, you should be more understanding. The quiet internal voice that talks you back down into something more palatable every single time. We're going there today — all the way in. I'll walk you through the three faces of suppressed rage — the woman who went numb, the one drowning in shame about her anger, and the one who doesn't even recognize her resentment as rage at all. I'll share something personal about what it felt like to finally stop performing for the people who benefited most from my smallness. And I'll lead you through a short audio exercise designed to help you translate what you're feeling into something clear — because rage almost always knows exactly what it's pointing to. You just have to get still enough to hear it. This episode is for the woman who has been called too much. Too different. Too changed. The one who is somewhere between the guilt and the rage and doesn't know what to do with either. Come back to this one whenever you need it. And if you know a woman who needs to hear it — send it to her. No explanation needed. Grief Is a Portal, Not a Problem

What if grief isn't something to fix, manage, or move on from — but something you're meant to move through? In this episode of Digging Deep, we go beneath the surface of how high-functioning women experience grief. Not the kind that stops you in your tracks — but the quiet kind. The grief you intellectualize. The pain you file away as a lesson learned before you ever let yourself feel it. The loss you carry while still showing up, still functioning, still smiling in the pictures. We talk about what we inherited from the strong women who came before us — and how survival strength and emotional avoidance can look exactly the same from the outside. We talk about the modern pressure to heal on a schedule, turn pain into purpose, and check grief off the to-do list. And we talk about what actually happens when you stop managing it and let it move. This episode is for the woman who hasn't cried in months and doesn't know why. The one holding it together while something inside her quietly unravels. And the one who thought she was over it — until she wasn't. Grief doesn't get handled. It handles you. But on the other side of letting it move? There's more room to breathe than you've felt in a long time. If this episode found you, come continue the conversation over on Instagram — you can find me at instagram.com/marquex.us Topics covered: emotional healing, grief and loss, burnout recovery, high-functioning women, spiritual awakening, nervous system regulation, feminine archetypes, self-abandonment, emotional intelligence, inner work

The Cost of Holding It Together

You're showing up for everyone and everything. The kids, the job, the business, the household. And from the outside? You look fine. But something is off. You're going through the motions, drifting further from yourself, and your body is starting to keep score. In this episode, I'm getting honest about what it really costs to be the one who holds it all together — the invisible labor, the quiet resentment, the burnout that doesn't look like burnout because you're still functioning. I'm sharing my own CIN3 diagnosis, what it taught me about what I had been holding in, and the words my mom spoke to me almost fifteen years ago that I didn't fully understand until my body made me listen. This is not a pity party. This is a reckoning. If you've ever paused when someone asked you to describe yourself outside of your roles — mother, wife, daughter — this episode is for you. If you've been running on the validation of "I don't know how you do it" instead of actually being known, this episode is for you. If you're ready to stop playing a supporting character in your own life and step into the lead, this episode is for you. In this episode we talk about: The invisible labor and mental load of being the one everyone depends onSecondary gain — why we stay in roles that are draining us and what we get from themWhat CIN3 taught me about what my body had been holdingThe difference between functioning and actually livingHow to stop performing strength and start owning your life with your whole chest
