    Episode 147 - I'm Daddy!

    We've reached the final leg of our big globetrotting adventure. The fam is going to Israel. I think Lego Hair assumed that there was going to be a heavenly choir lightly singing the whole time. Rays of sunlight shooting out from behind big, puffy white clouds, and the Jordan River being full of crystal clear water. We watched the fam get to ride camels while Lego Hair was uncomfortable. A couple of the girls getting chatted up at the Dead Sea. Jim Bob tries to haggle at the Old City Market while not remotely understanding the exchange rate. Like what you hear?     Episode 146 - That Uterus is F****n' RIPPED!

    Oi! The Duggars made it to London! The exchange rate for thumbs-ups must be in their favor because we are thumbs-up heavy. We see the show's (very brave) fixer, let Lego Hair and Cannon drive her vehicle. The kids enjoy some tea time and Lego Hair mortifies at least two members of his family. They also take a ride in the London Eye and round out their time in England with a trip to Stonehenge. In our not-so-mini Dig, Whitney watches an entire swoon session for Baby Cannon herself. A whole room full of people fawning over the fact that she gave birth to the children who are parenting her other children. Mother of the Year, folks! No...really. Like what you hear?     Episode 145 - Ahoy, Mate!

    The Brood is going international! We've reached the travel specials and the first destination is Scotland and Ireland. This episode is complete with a tin whistle overhaul of the theme song. If you guessed that you would get Duggar Time and a lot of "what do you mean we?", you'd be correct. Lego Hair has the buffoonery dialed up since they're in another country, complete with a very awkward, ineffective pitch for Christianity. They jump on a ferry and head over to Ireland to spend time at a working farm. Beautiful, green countryside is the stage for the kids to try and herd sheep (Patches the Dog is much more adept at it). Whitney takes us back in time and we read through some of the comments on the family's websites from way back in the 2010's. It's a fascinating, sometimes horrifying look back at the kind of messages they would get from the general public. Like what you hear?     Episode 144 - The Duggar Male System

    It's double-length episode time! TLC has put together another round of Q&A, pulling questions from folks on video and twitter. We do have to question their choice of interview area setup. They put up a background and then proceeded to film with only half of it in the shot. With the family taking a barrage of questions about how they operate, we get treated to another recitation of their memorized script that they all learn so well. We also both agree that Lego Hair's "I'm imparting wisdom" voice is super annoying. They end with Lego making a "big announcement". In the update(totally not a mini dig or anything haha), Whitney guides us through Pest's last chance effort to have his court case thrown out.     Episode 143 - You Exposer, Backslidden, Ineffective Christian You!

    We found the Discovery Channel commercial episode. We join the Duggars, alongside other Discovery personnel volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. We saw a good amount of inappropriate attire. I'm not sure when OSHA approved flippy floppies as construction zone footwear. It wasn't all just swinging hammers, we watched a large chunk of the family roast Josh on camera. In our Dig, we look at Billy G's message to alumni: the most important battle is with that damn tongue of yours! The crucial lesson of "Taming your Tongue" is to just stay quiet about anything problematic. And always remember: the real problem is you. It's the worst when you tell people the truth if it makes them look bad. You're only allowed to bring bad things up to the person who did them, and YOU are the one who has to ask for forgiveness.     Episode 142 - Chili Pie is Out of the Question

    There's lots of Duggars to choose to center an episode around, yet who got picked? Our favorite duo? No. The Duggirls? No. We got an episode focusing on Pest and Lego Hair. Cringe warning is advised. We watch Pest try to put together a grill and then use it to teach life lessons. For Lego Hair's birthday Cannon takes him to get an allergy test and, oddly, kinda shames him for his weight. In our Dig, we look at more ways that old Billy G's system allows for rampant abuse by insisting on only giving a good report of other Christians (Matthew 18).     Episode 141 - It's Like Lemon Pepper! But Make it Violin!

    We get the full Fundie Family Experience this week. It's a Bates-Duggars event. Some kids get to fiddlin'. Some participate in Whitney's bloodsport of choice:4-square. The dads get to pat each other on the back for having so many kids. We watch a very red-faced Bates boy get so uncomfortable when he gets to sit next to a young woman that's not in his family. In our Dig, we look into hospitality within IBLP. What they say it is for, the rewards you get for it, and the copious amounts of rules and strings that are attached to it.
