    This second of two episodes of Digital for Good presents how to run a system that involves millions of people in disaster status reporting Our guest ⁠⁠⁠Nashin Mahtani ⁠⁠⁠ is running and implementing adaptions of the CogniCity software in South East Asia and Latin America. The system processes data from individuals and communities in affected areas. It plots the data on a map and openly shares it with everybody affected or invested. This can include government agencies, emergency services, humanitarian organizations, and, most importantly, the communities and individuals in danger.     The first and the following second episode of Digital for Good presents a democratized way to deal with environmental disasters. Disaster status reporting is crucial and must provide timely and accurate information during and after emergencies. Our guests and have invented and implemented national adaptions of the CogniCity software to receive and analyze valuable data from social media users in crisis areas in Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Malaysia, and recently Panama. The system processes data from individuals and communities in affected areas. It plots the data on a map and openly shares it with everybody affected or invested. This can include government agencies, emergency services, humanitarian organizations, and, most importantly, the communities and individuals in danger. In short, the system provides the infrastructure for inclusive and participatory access to real-time disaster information.
