  1. I Remember

    EPISODE 2

    I Remember

I remember – I was a shy young bride Stepping into a new threshold of life This day today of twenty years Was filled with apprehension and fears Song on my lips and stars in my eyes Dreaming of the beginning of some beautiful ties. I remember – the first time you held my hand We are as if in heaven and not on this land Deeply lost in each other’s eyes Oblivious to the world’s shouts or cries. I remember – like all young people in love Had lots to discover and to discuss Over each other we would make so much fuss The world seemed to end if one got cross. I remember – the now silly quarrels and small tiffs They added spice to a sometimes dull bit Expectations run high when we are very young Tempers volatile with sometimes sharp tongue But the joy of making up was ever so great It made up for the tensions the quarrels would create. I remember – your reaction to our first born Too nervous to hold but so proud when told That you were the father of this new born Your eyes were misty and looks forlorn. I remember – for the second your pacing back and forth Wondering why the doctor was not yet brought When the cry of your son finally heard With sheer joy you went berserk. What can we ask from God today When he has given all without our say Our greatest treasure our sons today Please God continue to bless them also we pray. Lead us on with your kindly light To do good deeds and reach great heights We have no cause to fret or worry Toddy on our twentieth anniversary Yet another milestone in the life Of any husband and his wife. Twenty years of being together Needs to put our cap a feather Two decades it is today But I still remember all As only just yesterday.

  2. My Darling Son Jasjeev

    EPISODE 5

    My Darling Son Jasjeev

Twenty-one years ago on this day You came into this world my son Bringing with you the joy and ecstasy Which only parents are privileged to enjoy With the arrival of their first bundle of joy. Your birthday brings So many sentimental thoughts To mind-like what a pleasure it has been To watch you grow into The kind and thoughtful person you are. There’s a special kind of beauty Deep inside the heart of you Because the precious love of God Is such a part of you The things you do and say All show His kind and loving touch That is why a son like you will always mean so much. From the moment you were born I felt such happiness in knowing I had brought someone wonderful into this world For this to dear God I am grateful beyond measure To have been given the gift of this priceless jewel – such a treasure. From adolescence to adulthood, you have progressed With visions of the future and all that is best Dreams and ambitions play now a great role With zeal and enthusiasm you work for your goal. You are now ready to unfold your wings To fly into the beautiful blue skies Our love would not bind you Nor our needs hold you For you live in the house of tomorrow. You are the arrow that has to fly May we be the bow that is stable May we remain the strength you rely Even when old, frail and feeble. May God bless you, with everything he deems best Honesty, Generosity, Success, Happiness and the rest May you retain the child-like innocence With freshness of dew-drops and the flowers’ fragrance. Thinking of you lovingly As this big day appears Thinking too of all the joy You have brought throughout the years Hoping your most special dreams Will one and all come true And there will be lots of happiness With all of God’s blessings over you.

  3. My Grown Up Child

    EPISODE 6

    My Grown Up Child

It seems only yesterday That you were a babe in my arms My very special toy, a cute little bundle of joy Oblivious to the world, gentle and mild But today you are a grown up young man, my child. Cries and wails, screams and fears All still clearly ring in my ears The tantrums you threw for things you could not find Those and much more are still fresh in my mind. The little pranks you played The pleasure in the pain you gave Sometimes those naughty impish smiles Next the tempers went really wild And today you are a grown-up young man, my child. You have now come of age So, your freedom we can no longer cage Into the beautiful blue skies you would like to fly Fearless and free, by the fates profiled For today you are a grown-up young man, my child. With pride and joy we will see You take your first step to success Your dreams fulfilled and doubts laid to rest Son, it has been wonderful Sharing your dreams and watching you grow. Feeling such pride in your accomplishments and more With zeal and zest, never to be beguiled For today you are a grown-up young man, my child. Today on this very special day With love, I wish you and fervently pray That all the things you hope for And all the things you do May very special happiness be waiting for you May God always bless you and have you in his care May he fulfill every wish and answer every prayer. The beautiful memories of your childhood I will always love and treasure The joy of which is beyond any measure To the world today you may be “grown-up” Perhaps smart and even clever But to me you will always be my “little child” forever.

  4. To My Grandchildren

    EPISODE 8

    To My Grandchildren

When you my three little grandsons came with me to stay We had lots of fun and games to play Full of smiles and all the rush Endless questions and hair to brush Lots of laughter, lots of games Little pranks, funny names. A day with grandkids restores the soul Energizes the mind and body on the whole It gives me immense pleasure when you all sit beside me Hope as I get older you will sometimes keep me company You know I love you all, more with each passing day To spoil you is also showing you love my way. Let me love you a little more Before you are not little anymore I used to hold your Dad; kiss and hug him too The same way as today he does to you He could not remain a baby; he had to grow up So God created you beautiful grandkids to fill the great gap. I treasure the special bond we have between us The love we share and the secrets we discuss How lonely my world would be without you You will and should never have a clue All I can say that to the moon and back Is how much I love you. Children of my child Full of fun and little wild Nostalgic to see my little son in you again Memories of his childhood all then just begin Your smiles bridge the years between us Feel young again discovering the world through your eyes as such. I visualize the future in you You will learn from me of the past In the present let us love one another As long as these times last. There are times when some grandkids we cannot meet Seeing them would then be a God-sent treat Would long to give them all a loving hug The one that feels so warm and snug A prayer for all my grandkids will be on my lips always Whether we meet or have to part ways. I thank the good Lord for blessing my sons With children for whom my love is in abundance I pray you watch over and protect them day and night Give them the courage to stand for what is right Then when I am gone, here no more Remind them my love for them is forever and ever more.
