    British Mania Arrives in America

    Send us Fan Mail The tablemates come together to discuss 1964 Best Picture Tom Jones. While not anyone's favorite, Dan does a great job explaining to his guests why this movie is worthy.  It is clear that British humor is landining on American shores. Also, Dan introduces a new segment called Listener Ledgers...you too can give us your opinion on the weekly movie we are discussing. Finally, our guest Steve Shulkers, gave us great "participation trophies"--as Dan called them, and they cam in just in time as the podcast is now over one year old.     An Arabian Night

    Send us Fan Mail The dinner table is set for a great discussion about 1962 Best Picture Lawrence of Arabia.  The Gang welcomes Dan's best friend to the table, Steve Schulkers who speaks eloquently about his favorite film of all time. As a photographer, Steve sees more than many of us see in this great desert production. We enjoyed a new restaurant, A Taste of Jerusalem, with kabobs and falafel. And Steve brought some delicious pies. So grab a fork and enjoy the great conversation about this film. #DinnerwithDan

    Where the Sharks and Jets Agree

    Send us Fan Mail Tonight the gang enjoyed 1962's best picture West Side Story. The Shakespeare tale of Romeo and Juliet is told in 1950's New York City in a fight between two ethnic juvenile groups. The music, choreography and story make this a timeless classic.  We have Kate's delicious cooking and special guest Carla Maragano, Dan's daughter in-law to discuss this beautiful work of art.  So grab a Coca Cola and a chair at the table to listen to the dinner discussion of West Side Story. #DinnerwithDan

    We'll give you the keys to our apartment

    Send us Fan Mail The gang ate well this evening with yummy spaghetti (not strained by a tennis racket) and zucchini--made by the best cook at the table, Kate Evans.  There was also lovely wine and champagne.  There is 42 days until the block party on this 42nd episode.     Brunch with Ben-Hur

    Send us Fan Mail This week the Gang gathered for brunch to discuss one of Dan's top five movies of all time--1959 Best Picture Ben-Hur.  Gathered around with Bloody Mary's and Mimosa--the Jesus adjacent movie with Charlton Heston as Judah Ben-Hur is one for all time.   The cinematography and the scenery make this movie one for the ages. While everyone at the table was impressed with the movie--Dan was disappointed in his tablemates lack of affection for the film. Pull up a chair for a yummy brunch and we hope you enjoy the conversation! #DinnerwithDan

    Thank Heaven for Diya!

    Send us Fan Mail Tonight's dinner was bittersweet as we said good bye to Diya, Wroe Avenue's exchange student as she heads back home to India. Diya has been a great addition to the gang, joining us regularly to discuss our weekly movie. It was a hot one tonight on this July 4th eve and the discussion rambunctious as Dan got frustrated with his table mates for side comments! That didn't stop us from sharing what we felt about 1959 Best Picture Gigi.  So grab some champagne, a glass of French wine and join us for this week's Dinner with Dan. #DinnerwithDan
