Hello again. I’m hanging at the edge of my seat for your and your sister’s dialogue, recounting the past to help other people. Just wow on the inhumane ways that people treat their children. Your podcasts are insightful as always. Thank you. The bond with your Sis really shined through this horrific upbringing. Rock on y’all.

I never knew I was raised by a narcissistic mother until I started listening to Disaffected. I also never knew the most irritating people are narcissists, because I thought they were all alike: boisterous and egotistical. My experience was not extreme like you experienced, but I found your interview of your sister very interesting and insightful. I was the scapegoat child of 5, and yes, my mother did pit us against each other (my father went along with her since she wore the pants). I can’t wait to hear more from your sister and perhaps hear the personal stories of others. So many of my friends just loved their moms, but knowing there are others out there makes me feel less alone.

I never miss an episode because Josh always hits the real world relevant subculture mood that is pervasive. Kind of like Germany in the 30’s where everyone is running scared, and no one will say anything. The uplifting part is that people who are courageous like Josh validate people like me.

he seems to have a lot of resentment towards women and black people. i suggest therapy and a boyfriend lol. it’ll make you feel a lot better. i promise no one is out to get you and your community, relax with the dramatics in the last episode
