EP. 68 - - - STRENGTH: What Does It Look Like To Stand The Test Of Time?

There is a saying that goes, don’t ever meet your heroes…why? Well on one hand you could be extremely let down when you find out that all the things you admired about that hero are not actually in line with their actual personality. On the other hand, one could see that their hero is just a human like them and it could be the fuel for the flame to spark you to go after your own dreams. The squad sits down to tap into which side of the aisle they sit on regarding how much admiration is too much. Can there actually be too much? The squads share stories from their life experiences of heroes that they might have been granted the opportunity to meet and if they lived up to the hype. This one might get a little too spicy if the squad shares deeply. The concern here is that no one wants to put anyone on blast and smear their personal image. So how do you share the truth and experience that you have lived through without potentially making an enemy? =============================================================================== The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 68/ Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. Have you ever met someone you admired deeply? Did the experience confirm your admiration or completely shift how you saw them? 2. Do you think we create our “heroes” more from who we need them to be more than who they actually are? What does that say about yourself? 3. How do you hold admiration for someone without turning them into an idol or setting yourself up for disappointment? 4. Have you ever admired someone so much that it held you back from stepping into your own power or path? 5. How do you share your experience of disappointment, especially if it involves someone with status or reputation, without tearing them down or betraying your truth? 6. If you are someone’s hero right now, what would you want them to know about your humanity, your flaws, and what not to expect from you? ================================================================================ WANT TO JOIN IN THE CONVERSATION WITH US?  Join the DISMOUNT Podcast Discord ... link: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  Where the conversation never ends at all hours of the day.  We have a separate page for every episode we record in our Discord Follow this link to find the DISMOUNT Server: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  SMASH that SUBSCRIBE BUTTON and ride along with us on this journey!  Follow Dismount on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok:  YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClPMuSnSbC4tGSYcbqbeTfwt  IG: https://www.instagram.com/dismountcast  TW: https://twitter.com/dismountcast  TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@dismountcast

EP. 67 - - - POSITIVE +- NEGATIVE: How Do I Balance Out The Forces Of My Existence?

Are you ready for a conversation that gets started with a bold statement of there is no GOOD or BAD? Who makes that kind of statement and says that it is all just your perception of the good or the bad? Well luckily for him he decides to then say I am trying to see if by the end of this discussion I can truly define a good and bad.  Have you ever stopped to think about how the bad things taught you lessons to make you smarter and wiser? Have you ever stopped to think about how a real shit situation can become one of the greatest stories of your life?  So, when is something bad or good? How do we truly classify this for ourselves without imposing our views onto others? The gang does not claim to have any answers that will fix your life, but they sure do have a lot of chatter on the idea of Positive +- Negative, so saddle up and join the journey for this discussion. =============================================================================== The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 67 Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. When in your life have you experienced something that felt “bad” at the time, but as time went on it later revealed itself to be one of the most important moments for your growth? 2. Do you believe there’s truly objective good and bad in the world? Or is everything filtered through personal, cultural, or emotional lenses? 3. If something doesn’t bring you shame, does that automatically make it right/ok? What role does conscience or collective responsibility play in defining “wrong”? 4. How do you personally try to balance the positive and negative in your life? Do you seek neutrality, lean into duality, or try to transmute one into the other? 5. Have you ever had a moment where your idea of “good” or “bad” was flipped because of someone else’s perspective? How did that change your outlook? 6. If we accepted that everything is perception, how would that change the way we hold accountability, healing, and purpose in our own lives?

EP. 66 - - - TRUTH or DARE: What Are My Consequences?

TRUTH OR DARE…how easily this game could take us to places that we never imagined we would go. This was a fun game that we played a lot as kids, right? How many kept playing this later in life, college, career, connections? Looking back this was one of those ways to be able to try to get your crush to come out of their shell and see if they were interested in you or get your buddy to make a fool of themselves Infront of the squad. Well, we all grew up, did the game really change or do we play Truth or Dare everyday with our own existence. Think about it…when you follow your truth, things seem to just float along. When you dare to explore the unknowns, things can be dicey but can lead you to the truth that you were seeking. So, are there actually consequences to the game or is the only consequence not playing the game? Join the squad as they saddle up to tackle the internal debate of TRUTH or DARE. ================================================================================ The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 66 Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. When was the last time you told yourself the real truth about something? How did your life shift after that moment? 2. What’s a time you dared to do something that scared you? What did it teach you about yourself, regardless of the outcome? 3. Have you ever avoided both truth and dare, played it safe, just to later feel the consequences of not choosing at all? 4. Do you find it harder to speak your truth or step into the unknown? Why do you think one feels riskier than the other for you? 5. How do you navigate the inner tension between staying comfortable and daring to live more boldly? 6. If life is one long game of Truth or Dare, what truth are you still scared to admit? What dare is waiting for you on the other side of it?

EP. 65 - - - COMMUNITY: Why Does It Feel Like Society Fights To Separate Us?

Divide and conquer is a term that comes from war. The idea is that you separate a team or army up into smaller groups so that they are easier to defeat or control. There is also a term called “psychological warfare” that occurs where you break a large group up and get it to turn against themselves so that you do not have to really do anything but wait until they have broken each other down enough and then you swope in to take control over both groups. Well, this concept has stemmed over into politics, business and even personal relationships. America (since this is where we live and have experienced) is notorious for stirring up controversy to get the public to fight against each other instead of focusing on the corruption that is taking place, this is all hearsay and for entertainment purposes only but is it actually? Red vs blue, red has control blue goes crazy bringing down red. Blue has control red tries to take back control by bringing down blue and the story goes on and on, looping repeatedly, keeping the masses divided instead of coming together and creating real change.  However, how do you create real change when so many people might have a different opinion on what is good for the public? So how do we come together and build communities that support each other? Communities where people feel safe. Where they allow their kids to roam the streets and explore freely. Communities where people share instead of hoard toilet paper during chaos. The squad does not claim to have all the answers or a cheat sheet that will get us to this finish line. However maybe just maybe it’s not about coming to agreements but respecting the other side for their opinions and allowing a safe space for them to live life the way they want. Can the squad break down some barriers with this discussion? Can the gang change the landscape of a country like America in an hour-long conversation? Well, we won't know unless we try. So here is to taking every opportunity we have to bring the change that we all want to see. Saddle up and join this squad on an exploration into how they might be able to start small and build out a community that could change the world… or will this discuss take a turn and end up down some different rabbit holes.  ================================================================================ The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 65 Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. When was the first time you realized the world was trying to divide you from someone else based on a label? Did you play into it or push against it? 2. What role has fear played in shaping how you see those who are “different” from yourself? How do we unlearn that instinct? How can we start to shape ourselves into those who do not place opinions on others by just reading their cover?  3. Have you ever witnessed or been part of a community that broke the mold? (Where people came together despite deep differences) What made it work? 4. How do you personally balance your own beliefs while still creating space for others to have theirs without judgment? 5. What small daily actions do you think could create a ripple effect in helping others feel more connected and less alone? 6. If the squad had to design a dream community from scratch; what values, rituals, or principles would it be built on?

    EP. 64 - - - TRIBES: Can I Be An Individual In A Group?

Standing out amongst a crowd of amazing people who I consider my team or family; how do I do that? Can I be someone who is a part of the best team in the world but also be viewed as a successful individual? Honestly does it matter how I am viewed at all if I am serving a high purpose? We are a part of so many different groups and some we might not have the awareness of sometimes. For example, how often to you witness people forgetting that we are all human and we are each other's brothers and sisters not through bloodlines but through our mere existence of both living on planet earth? How often to you see people treat other Americans poorly? How often do you see people prey on the weak? Ride along as the squad grapples with the hard truths of how they have experienced trying to be an individual in a world where we overlook often that we are actually all on the same team. What did that do to your sense of self? What does it look like to truly celebrate others while still honoring your own greatness? Have you ever struggled with that balance?Do you believe it's more important to be seen as an individual or to serve the mission of the collective? Why?What’s a group or “tribe” you’ve belonged to that shaped you? How did that environment affect your individuality? How do you think modern culture, especially online, encourages tribalism in a way that disconnects us from the deeper truth that we’re all on the same team?If “Team Earth” really is the biggest tribe, what role do you play on it? How do you lead with that awareness in everyday life?================================================================================ WANT TO JOIN IN THE CONVERSATION WITH US?  Join the DISMOUNT Podcast Discord ... link: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  Where the conversation never ends at all hours of the day.  We have a separate page for every episode we record in our Discord Follow this link to find the DISMOUNT Server: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  SMASH that SUBSCRIBE BUTTON and ride along with us on this journey!  Follow Dismount on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok:  YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClPMuSnSbC4tGSYcbqbeTfwt  IG: https://www.instagram.com/dismountcast  TW: https://twitter.com/dismountcast  TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@dismountcast TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@dismountcast

EP. 63 - - - TRADITIONS: How Do I Honor History and Myself?

Respect your elders is something that a lot of us were programmed to believe at a young age. Well, what if your elder was a horrible example and someone who you could never imagine yourself growing up to be? How do you attempt to respect your elders but also secretly say I will never allow myself to be anything like you at the same time? Seems like a very easy task to fake respect and just worry about who you are becoming. Does that open up a whole can of issues that might blur the line? Come along on the journey as the squad begins to develop the best techniques for themselves as they build the foundations of how to honor and respect people like their parents but focus on making sure they do not turn into clones of them. Join the squad as they sit down and buckle up to ride into a conversation that is going to test the limits of making sure they show gratitude and honor to all those before them but respectfully show that I want to become my own version of me. ================================================================================ The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 63 Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. What’s one tradition or belief you inherited from family or culture that you’ve chosen to question? What did that process look like for you? 2. How do you personally define “respecting your elders”? Has that definition evolved as you’ve matured? 3. Can you love or honor someone while actively rejecting the way they lived or what they believed? What’s that boundary feel like in your life? 4. Have you ever felt guilt for not following in the footsteps of family or cultural expectations? How did you process that and move forward? 5. What does it look like to build your own version of legacy? Can you honor your past without being defined by it? 6. If you could create one new tradition for the next generation, what would it be? How would it reflect both what you’ve learned and let go of? ================================================================================ WANT TO JOIN IN THE CONVERSATION WITH US?  Join the DISMOUNT Podcast Discord ... link: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  Where the conversation never ends at all hours of the day.  We have a separate page for every episode we record in our Discord Follow this link to find the DISMOUNT Server: https://discord.gg/y96ABbWnsJ  SMASH that SUBSCRIBE BUTTON and ride along with us on this journey!  Follow Dismount on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok:  YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClPMuSnSbC4tGSYcbqbeTfwt  IG: https://www.instagram.com/dismountcast  TW: https://twitter.com/dismountcast  TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@dismountcast TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@dismountcast

EP. 62 - - - HOURGLASS: How Do I Cherish My Time More?

The hourglass keeps going no matter how many times you try to make it stop. So how to you make the most of every moment? How do you make every moment special without stressing over making everything perfect because time feels limited? How do you walk through life without looking at the time clock all the time and rushing yourself to the next activity trying to squeeze every last bit of experience out of every day? It is so easy for time to become a factor in everything we do. Society really programs into our minds that only have a finite time here to experience anything before we start to deteriorate towards death. So how do you find balance to make the most out of the seconds you have while staying sane and not becoming a robot who is trying to advance their software too far. Join the squad as they step into the fishbowl together and swim around with the ideas and ways that they have made strides to balance their lives to the fullest. ================================================================================ The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Everyone in the episode was given these questions prior to the episode recording. The squad individually takes time to journal on each of these questions. The conversations are authentic, raw and deep.  Episode 62 Questions/Thought Sparkers: 1. When was the last time you felt fully present? Or what was one of the most memorable times where you weren't watching the clock, but were just in it? What made that moment feel timeless? 2. Do you feel like your relationship with time is more rooted in anxiety or appreciation? Where do you think that came from? 3. How do you personally balance the desire to make the most of every moment without turning your life into a productivity contest? 4. What helps you slow down time in your daily life? Even when the world feels like it’s moving faster than ever… 5. Have you ever looked back and realized you were rushing through a phase of life that actually deserved more attention? What would you do differently now? 6. If time is the most precious resource, what are you consciously choosing to give it to right now? What needs to be re-evaluated?

EP. 61 - - - MAINTENANCE: You Can Do An Oil Change On Your Body?

What would an oil change for your body look like?  a.  Is that a reflection day?  b.  Is that a relaxation day?  c.  Is that a do nothing and sleep all day?  d.  Is that going out and completing a feat of strength, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone?   For everybody an oil change for the body, mind and soul will look different. Some of us do not get to spend as much time running long distances or biking for hours on end. Some of us love to play a video game that allows us to escape into a different reality. Some of us will hibernate like a bear and not get out of bed for an entire day. It really does not matter what you do to feel back in balance. However, you balance the tires that are your life we all have one goal, do not feel shame for the actions that brought us joy on this oil change day and end the day saying if only I could do that tomorrow again. Saddle up with the Dismount squad as they discuss what their reset days look like.  — How do they manage to keep their engine lubricated to continue living life to the fullest?  — How have they struggled in the past to balance life's decisions and expectations?  This is another emotional dive for the gang, buckle up. ================================================================================ The Dismount Squad creates 6 questions to discuss on each episode. Not because you were lazy, but because you were running on empty... 2. What does your personal version of a "reset day" look like? How has that evolved as you've grown? 3. Have you ever felt guilty for taking time to rest or unplug? Where do you think that guilt comes from? 4. What signals does your body or mind give you that it's time for a tune-up? Do you usually listen the first time? 5. How do you maintain your sense of wholeness in a world that often praises constant upgrading, pushing, and achieving? 6.
