Episode 57 - Lemonade Mouth
The 2011 movie Lemonade Mouth follows a high school band as they fight for what they believe in, which happens to be a vending machine. It is important that you watch this movie so you can enjoy Christopher McDonald handling a Segway like it's an extension of his own body. Then mix up a Bourbon brain and listen to our episode to find out which actor was arrested for armed robbery.

Episode 56: Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension
We gotta be honest: we all missed the boat on this show growing up so we went into this one pretty blind. But that ended up working out, because this 2011 DCOM is full of pleasant surprises--nobody expects a Lorenzo Lamas joke, a Georgia O'Keeffe joke, and a Kierkegaard joke all within five minutes of each other. So blend up a Dirty Doofenslurper and start slurping while we break down our first animated DCOM, thank our fans for our first Grammy, and answer fan mail from ... Bryan Metz?

Episode 55 - Lots of Luck
A blue-collar family wins it all and loses it all in Lots of Luck, the 1985 Disney Channel movie starring Martin Mull, Annette Funicello, and Fred Willard. You probably haven't seen this one but it's free on YouTube, so put it on in the background while you pretend to do work, then mix up a Bad Luck Sidecar and check out our review. Oh, and did I mention our accountant Marvin is in this movie? He stops by the studio for a hot second but nobody is happy about that. Marvin's a fun sucker.

Episode 54 - The Color of Friendship
It's pleasantly surprising to see what DIsney Channel is capable of when they're not just trying to satisfy their newest star's contract with a movie and a record deal. The Color of Friendship is Disney Channel's look at the horrors of apartheid South Africa with a broader message on racism and equality. It's especially important if, like us, you realize that this conflict was noticeably absent from your history curriculum growing up. We attend to that history, but we also find some time to enjoy James's peach, rooibos, and vodka drink and appreciate the finer touches to this movie: the roaming barbershop quartet, the painfully 70s getups, Mahree's gloopy little brother, and more.

Episode 53 - Cloud 9
You know, this is probably the only DCOM where we witness someone's lung collapsing. It's not like it's graphic or anything, but we watch Will's "epic fail" accident and he says later that his lung collapsed, so yeah. We watched Cloud 9, the 2014 snowboarding DCOM starring Dove Cameron and Luke Benward. Make yourself a Fire & Ice and cozy up for our first episode after a far-too-long hiatus.

Episode 52 - Rock 'n' Roll Mom
This one's coming at ya from the era of glam rock and big hair! Rock 'n' Roll Mom debuted as part of The Disney Sunday Movie in 1988--not a DCOM, but it features Fran Drescher and Joe Pantoliano so we had to give it a watch. If loud outfits, badass moms, and jamming to the same synth rock song a dozen times in an hour are your thing, then I don't have to tell you what to watch tonight. Mix up a Santa Maria Slammer and get gnarly with us, man.

I Nearly Fell Over Laughing
Ever wanted to know where in a children’s movie the F-bomb should have been dropped? Want to hear an in-depth discussion on the failings of Disney dads? Maybe you just want to get drunk on elaborate beverages and listen to something funny? The Disney Channel Tipsy Panel has all this and more! The hosts deconstruct all of the silly tropes used in the House of Mouse films and have a great time doing it. I give this podcast a thumbs up and encourage everyone who’s ever watched a DCOM to give it a listen.
