Alissa quit the safe job, got divorced, and went all-in on her dreams. She built a life that feels authentic, alive, and aligned. Your story can change, too. Ask yourself: What do I want to build? What is one thing I can do today, to build a more ideal life? Write down your ideas. Plan on them. Own them. Act on them, like your plans are truly yours to carry out.     Recognizing FOMO and FOBO in Your Life

    In this episode (Season 3, Episode 36), Alissa shares a story about having FOBO (fear of better options) and FOMO (fear of missing out) on behalf of her pet pug! What if there isn't a better option that you should be afraid of missing out on? What if you were perfectly content with some aspects of life? What if your marriage is pretty dang perfect, and your house is just fine. What if you're healthy, happy, and in love with your life, and your biggest challenge is enjoying yourself. Sometimes it's hard to settle into a feeling of contentment. You might feel compelled to start a new project, set a new goal, or optimize your life with the latest fad, when really it's all good. When life is trucking along peacefully without a hitch, don't convince yourself that you (or your pets) are missing out on better options, and somehow need a more optimal life than the one you're living. Fear is a liar. Anxiety is a liar that nags at you, with FOBO, FOMO, and a need to troubleshoot things that are causing you zero trouble! Some things, relationships, people, pets, and financial arrangements are just fine as they are. When your anxiety starts creating FOBO and FOMO in your mind, the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Anxiety can creep into our lives as FOBO or FOMO, but those fears do NOT run the show, YOU do. Don't let anxiety push you to look for better options when it comes to your fitness routine, your finances, your love life, your family, or even your pets! You're not missing out. Relax and enjoy what you have. Anxiety might tell you that you need to "fix" something or improve it, when really it's all good. If you've been giving your power away to FOBO and FOMO, tune in!
