    Distortion Analysis - Episode 11: Season Finale

    BAND INTERVIEW - Osiris Rex NEWS - Sepultura’s Derrick Green is planning his new band after Sepultura finishes their farewell tour.  Blood Incantation releasing All Gates Open which is a sound track that’s part of a documentary package that chronicles how they create their music.  Coal Chamber drummer Mikey Cox has revealed he has cancer.  Slayer have announced several special shows playing Reign in Blood in its entirety to celebrate the album’s 40 year anniversary. The new At the Gates album The Ghost of Future Dead debuted at number 1 New single and music video is out now for the song “It’s for the Kids” by Anthrax from their upcoming album.  ALBUM REVIEW - Pharmacist  MYSTERY BAND - William’s Pick LIVE SHOWS / TOURS - The Sword and Red Fang going on tour together later this year Black Label Society, Zakk Sabbath and Dark Chapel touring together this fall  Sevendust and Theory of a Deadman heading out on tour in September Dying Fetus, Sanguisugabogg, Crowbar, Left to Suffer, and Deterioration are touring this Sept and Oct Elder touring the US this fall as well

    TOPIC - Shock metal - when do bands go too far? Are they serious or is it just for attention? Including discussions of GG Allin and the Murder Junkies, A.C., Burzum/Mayhem, burning churches in the 90s, GWAR, etc.  NEWS -  Incantation has asked fans to bring non-perishable food items due to bad hospitality at venues during their tour.  Eric Morotti - Drummer for Suffocation suddenly quits stating that he no longer wants to work with abusive drug addicts. He’s now playing with Sanguisugabogg on their tour with Lamb of God. Suffocation has responded by saying he was let go due to tour conflicts with Sanguisugabogg. The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen’s Recent Spider Bite Saw Her Spend Last Night In The Hospital: "..Poisonous spiders are NO BUENO" ALBUM REVIEW - William’s Pick: Cathedral - The Ethereal Mirror MYSTERY BAND - Sean’s Pick LIVE SHOWS / TOURS -  Our concert reviews: William - Sunn Sean - Bleed From Within Baby Metal going on tour Halestorm.  Yob, Dopethrone, Khemmis and Greenleaf among others confirmed for RippleFest this September in Austin, TX. Twisted Sister have announced their first dates with Sebastian Bach this September and October.  Dimmu Borgir playing a limited run in the US with Hypocrisy, Suffocation and Hulder in August.

    Ep. 9 Intro TOPIC - Gear edition - an examination of Metallica’s amps.  NEWS - LIVE NATION PRICE GOUGHING - A pair of Live Nation employees joked about “gouging” fans with fees and parking costs at concerts, further adding that these concertgoers are “so stupid” and that Live Nation is “robbing them blind, baby,” according to private messages released as court documents as part of Live Nation’s monopoly lawsuit.  The Netflix of metal is out now called Thuderflix.  Elder announce new album coming out in May, their 7th album entitled Through Zero.  Former Misfits Frontman Michale Graves Signs Christian Record Deal, Announces ‘God Bless America Tour 2026’.  Ross the Boss Friedman from Manowar and The Dictators passes away at 72 - rockers are getting old.  Dark Throne have a new album coming out called Pre-Historic Metal with one of the stupidest covers I’ve ever seen - Looks like a Black Metal farmer.  ALBUM REVIEW - At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul MYSTERY BAND - William’s Pick LIVE SHOWS / TOURS - Pentagram embarking on farewell tour in August.    Coheed and Cambria are touring North America with Shinedown.  Hatebreed are touring this summer with various openers including Devourment and Incantation.  The Pretty Reckless announced a US tour in support of their album Dear God.   Outro

    TOPIC - POLITICS AND METAL - DO THEY GO TOGETHER OR DO PEOPLE JUST WANT THE ESCAPE? Tom Morello called out Kristi Noem for using Nazi language, Drop Kick Murphy’s release a new anti ICE song and new Lamb of God album Into Oblivion about our country right now as examples. System of a Down drummer is MAGA. Recent controversy with Dead Kennedys and Punk in the Park event as that event was recently cancelled. Dogma unable to tour US due to Visa complications, other bands too.  NEWS - Update to the new Vinnie Vincent album - the prices have changed from our first report. Phil Campbell of Motorhead died joining Lemmy in the Rainbow room in the sky. and Controversy with Deicide as former guitarist Eric Hoffman is publicly lashing out at Glen Benton for not paying royalties and merch monies properly. This also happened not too along ago with Cradle of Filth and a number of their members coming after Dani Filth. Ghost are taking a hiatus from touring as Tobias Forge wants to spend time with his family. New Neurosis album “An Undying Love for a Burning World” with Aaron Turner (founder of Hydra Head records and part of the bands SUMAC and Isis) replacing Scott Kelly.
