My Journey from Divorce to Dating
Join me in this week's episode as I share my journey from filing for divorce to my first date. The million-dollar question is, 'How long should I wait to start dating?' The truth is, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. What's important is to make sure you're emotionally ready and have moved on from your ex. Ensure you have your own place and that the terms of your divorce are settled. Lastly, focus on personal growth. Once you've ticked these boxes, you're ready to take the leap into the dating pool. Don't forget your umbrella, because it's raining men!

When Your Ex Moves On
In this week’s episode, I share what it felt like to find out my ex-husband is engaged! As you can imagine, I went through a roller coaster of emotions. The truth of the matter is, men tend to move on very quickly after divorce, so brace yourself. What I found to help me is keeping a list and checking it twice. Lol. My therapist recommended that I make a list of all the things that brought me hurt and pain throughout our marriage. Whenever I get triggered by my exes actions that send me down a rabbit hole of self doubt I pull out that list. Doing so keeps me rooted in the reality of what the relationship was and why I ultimately made the right decision.

Accepting the Present
On this week’s episode, I share my struggle to stay present and accept the present. When contemplating divorce sometimes it’s easier to reminisce about the past or have false hope for the future, instead of accepting your present truth. I spent years running from my truth. I’ve learned the sooner you face it the sooner you can begin to heal.

Vacation Mode and Mom Guilt
As moms we juggle a lot of responsibilities and it’s rare that we get an opportunity to take a vacation, without our children. In this week’s episode I will share my struggle to enjoy the opportunity I have to take a much needed break. When going through a divorce you already loose time with your children and the thought of taking extra time away can come with a lot of guilt. Add that with separation anxiety and ta-da the perfect emotional storm! I’m here to tell you that the feeling of guilt is normal but don’t let it stop you. Taking a vacation will give you time to rest and rejuvenate, allowing you to come back a more patient and present parent.

Mother’s Day Blues and Blessings
On this week’s episode, I will share what it was like to experience my first Mother’s Day, post divorce. Mother’s Day as a single or divorced mom can be hard. It’s a reminder that there is no longer a designated partner to show you appreciation on that day. It can bring up a lot of feelings of loss and hurt. I’ve learned to honor those feelings and hold space for them. Also, don’t put pressure on yourself or your ex to have a “magical” Mother’s Day because every day is Mother’s Day.

Ex-Wife Math
In this episode I will share my experience of negotiating spousal support during the divorce process. I realized that my inability to speak up for myself, my people pleasing ways, pride, and emotional exhaustion heavily influenced the decisions I made. I hope that you will learn from my mistakes and know that whatever support you get from your ex, financially, should not be attached to shame or fear. I want you to feel empowered to ask for what you deserve and you deserve to “ Get that Money, Honey”. Lol
