Absolutely great reporting & important matter to be understood and addressed! The imbalance in the CPS system is embarrassing! CPS should try to focus more on the truly needy children in their community. How does this system get reformed? I have no idea— but something absolutely needs to change. Perhaps, more common sense & advocacy. Rather than checklist and avoidance Thank you to the host, the families affected and anyone else positively involved in this podcast. Love to the Butler & Bright families. May blessing shine upon you all. *****Those leaving one star reviews for “pulling the race card” are ignorant and insufferable. This story brilliantly & accurately demonstrates the harsh truth that many refuse to believe. Systematic racism is embedded into every single government decision making process. It’s ugly & raw But utterly true. It is a shame that so many people do not understand white privilege & how it affects the way certain people act. —Had the Butler family decided “no I’m taking my babies home, deal with it” THEY WOULD BE JAILED IMMEDIATELY— No shame to the Bright family, whatsoever. The imbalances that put black families at a disadvantage is literally trying to make a ‘self fulfilling prophecy’ in the minds of those with power. (he must of abused the baby, aggressive black man -make the dad leave- op another absent black father, oh the mother didn’t just hand her baby off without hesitation? she’s an aggressive black woman) Had the Bright family not had this incident & win in court, no doubt in my mind the Butler family would not have had the judgement they so rightly deserved. Imo both families & children deserved better than the treatment they endured. But, for those that want to boo this podcast for highlighting the very true and disturbing facts of the obvious racism at hand — needs therapy and a history book. This podcast broke my heart for both families. It is disgusting how inept the CPS is in Texas, as well as that hospital. What is wrong with the state of Texas?
