If someone asked reality TV personality, Ashley Silva, what her single message to the world would be, she would proudly proclaim, "Do That SH!T". After sharing her battle with depression publicly, she learned that there are scores of women who suffer in silence. Imagine days passing you by in the absence of true happiness and joy. Imagine missing some of life's best and most sacred moments due to anxiety and overwhelm with no end in sight. Even worse, imagine leaving this earth filled with untapped potential. In the words of Ashley, fu$k that! You deserve better!
Society tells us that those who appear to have it all are somehow exempt from anxiety or depression, but nothing could be farther from the truth. No one is exempt. Societal imposed standards of who and what a woman today should be, coupled with the constant pressure of the need for perfection, leave us to fall apart at the seams. The unfiltered truth is that life is tough, but so are you.
Do That SH!T is the straight-shooting voice in your head you never even knew you needed. An unapologetic reminder that you already have everything you need to be the best version of yourself.
More than affirmations delicately woven together, this book is a collage of intimate stories, undeniable truths, unapologetic revelations, and most importantly cues that inspire you to reshape the way you think about your life. In this poignant self-redefining guide, Ashley gets real about the realities of self-doubt, depression, chasing the life you need, want, and deserve by any means necessary, and dealing with the realities of the series of events that have served to shape who you are and what you will become. Nothing in this book is sugarcoated, Ashley tells it like it is. Do That SH!T is the response to the voices that inundated us with empty messages of happiness. Instead, you are encouraged to get up, get out, and become the hero of your own life. Whatever you desire can be yours, but you must be willing to conquer yourself to go out and get it. Are you ready?

    DO THAT SH!T-CHAPTER 14: F#CK THAT SH!T
People say there are 2 sides to a story. I say there are 3, yours, theirs and somewhere in the middle is the truth. That's life. We all don't experience things the same. We are a villain to some and a hero to others. The key is to working on being a better you for you.
Also have you have felt like God abandoned you? How did you work through that?

The Real Deal

I grew up in DC in the 60’s and I know a real friend when I see one. I can relate to Ashley because she reminds me of myself when I was younger. In those days life was different and on many occasions you depended on your friends when your parents weren’t available. I love that Ashley values her friendships even when they/others don’t get it! Stay strong, Ashley, you have many “friends” and we love your devotion to friendship!!!
