I miss when it was one person did a deep dive on a topic and would tell the other person about it. Their researcher misses a lot of important, basic information or context, like they just do a quick search of the topic. Or at least when it was topics that they were interested in or cared about, you can tell when they are not into a topic at all. Their research was better before they had a researcher

Their coverage on the Million Little Lives book festival was so weird. The festival had a lot of indie authors who shelled out a lot of money for essentially a scam. They had a “who cares” attitude, acted like the authors were being very dramatic and were just very unsympathetic to the authors who lost a lot of money. It was like they did not care about the topic at all
Lily was essentially weird about it despite her growing up without much money and a few years ago had to ask Jessi for money to afford groceries
They’ve mainly been covering smaller creators and are just mean when talking about them, punching down at them. Why are we bullying a creator with 20k or less followers when there’s bigger creators who are doing stuff that should be talked about?
The guy who got kicked from the bar during The World Series did not need to be talked about or going through his videos to make fun of him
I think the backlash they got from their interview with Johnny and Tana Mongeau calling them out made them scared to talk about bigger creators since they might see the video so those topics go on Patreon. Don’t have a podcast about internet drama if you’re scared to talk about it then!!
Jessi incorrectly stated that a content creator’s husband was dead, literally takes two seconds to double check. Then said not to blame the researcher, it was all on her in response to it. So you see the complaints people have with the research?
Their friend CC Suarez (another content creator) loves hanging out in their subreddit and patreon, getting into conversations that are between viewers who disagree with an episode or take, she’s taken it upon herself to be the unofficial spokesperson of the podcast. Did she get told to be in fan spaces and relay information back to them? Why is another random content creator in fan spaces?
Jessi talks about hating people who support Trump and MAGA, not associating with anyone who is yet her husband liked RFK Jr’s Instagram post despite having an autistic child and follows right wingers, she’s never addressed this. People have discovered that he coaches for a Christian school that is against homosexuality (she has a gay brother who she claims to support)
Her mom is MAGA and she’s promoted her mom’s business on the show
Shes close friends with creator CC Suarez who is a right wringer. I find her to be hypocritical
Jessi said that she had little sympathy for those who complained about getting up early, try being a parent cause she’s been getting up early for years. Yes cause only parents can feel basic human emotions like tiredness or get up early. She’s starting to veer into being that parent who says how hard her life is, those who aren’t parents will never get it
Jessi is starting to get on my nerves, talking about how being a content creator is so hard when all she really does is film. She barely edits, it’s Lily and Jessi’s brother who do most of the editing. She just has to show up and film but she complains about it
There’s multiple episodes where Lily will be talking or explaining something and Jessi is on her phone. You really can’t put it away for 1-2 hours?

The YouTube comment section has become mainly just people trauma dumping, it’s annoying to read. There’s barely ever people talking about the episode, just playing trauma Olympics
The last two episodes were basically nothing burgers and just really boring. Episodes are mainly watching other people’s clips and saying something here and there. Or it’ll mainly be the AI robot voice doing a long update. They’ll take a small topic and manage to drag it out for an hour. I’m getting bored with the podcast, I used to be so excited for new episodes but I’m not anymore
Patreon gets the longer, more exciting, newer topics while the non Patreon peeps get the millionth Ash Trevino update and topics that are nothing burgers. Then Jessi laughs at the beginning when she knows we’re not going to like a topic
Episodes are constantly late. Lily exhausts herself trying to edit while Jessi goes on her 20th vacation of the year and goes to visit Kathleen Lights. She puts more effort into the podcast she does with Kathleen than DWKT. She swears she edits but from the outside the workload looks unbalanced
If Lily is having a flare up (I sympathize with her so much) then maybe this is when you step up and help edit. I almost wish Lily would find another cohost
They hyped up this award show so much saying how they’d been preparing for months yet it won’t be up until the second week of January. I think I’m going to stop watching, I haven’t finished an episode in weeks
