    Monica Valli has been playing the guitar since she was 8 years old. She put it down for 6 years but then picked it back up around 14 (possibly because of Bon Jovi) and has never put it back down. She's toured around the country as a touring guitarist for years, but just in the last two years she's started to put her own music out into the world. Her most recent single "Turns Out It Wasn't Me" came out just a couple of months ago, and she's planning on releasing new music soon. She was nice enough to come on the show and talk about her career up to this point. Doc and Monica talk about her wedding, starting to play the guitar, playing at Cheers in St. Louis, going to Berklee, moving to Nashville, being a touring musician, moving to Austin, starting to sing, song writing, Lord of the Rings and much much more.     The Butthole Surfers started way back in 1981 with Gibby Haynes and Paul Leary started a band. They quickly grew a reputation in Texas and throughout the country as one of the most provocative and outlandish bands in the country. They had a massive influence on contemporary artists like Kurt Cobain, White Zombie, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They hit massive success with their album electriclarryland and the single Pepper. After the success of their album they had a follow album After the Astronaut, but because of disputes with their record label and problems with their manager they never were able to release it until now. The band is planning on releasing it June 26th 2026. Before the album is released Paul was nice enough to come on the show! He started playing the drums when he was 12 years old joined the band Curved air in 1974 then started the band the Police in 1977 which went on to sell over 75 million albums, win 6 grammy awards be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame and be one of the biggest bands in the world. After the Police he started work as a composer creating film scores for Francis Ford Coppola and Oliver Stone. Then he started scoring video games like Spyro. Over the last two years he's been traveling the world telling stories on a spoken word tour called "Have I said Too Much." We condensed about 50 years of absolutely legendary work into three sentences. There are about 5 million other things that could be listed.
