    The 1689 on the Lord's Supper (30.3-4)

    Polemics and Purity

    Polemics and Purity

Correction: Joe and Jimmy incorrectly attributed a statement made on the Genevan Commons as directed at Aimee Byrd. This was actually directed toward another woman. We apologize for the mistake. As we now understand the comment and its intended target, we still believe it to be ungodly speech.
The guys jump into the whole Aimee Byrd/Genevan Commons kerfuffle to talk about our speech, especially as leaders. What’s all the fuss? When does our complaint against one’s theology cross the line into an attack on the person? How should we talk about our theological opponents? Plus, Joe had to apologize for being a jerk.

Grateful

I’m incredibly grateful for these dudes. They’re fun and thoughtful and silly and theologically solid. They’ve been invaluable in teaching me how to evaluate ideas without becoming reactionary one way or the other. I’ve been encouraged and exhorted in many ways, many times by this podcast. Thank you guys for your time and effort and your generosity of spirit. God bless you and yours.

Lifetime subscriber

I have been a listener for over a year now. I appreciate the knowledge and understanding JoFo bring to the podcast. I appreciate the serious topics they cover as well as the 1689 confession explanations. As a pastor myself I really enjoy their sarcasm and relaxed atmosphere. You all have a lifetime subscriber and if I was in St. Charles Redeemer would be my home church! Keep doing what your doing and let the haters hate. Prayerfully we will see you in September at the conference.

Hands down, favorite

I’ve been listening to DnD for about a year now and have enjoyed it more and more as the months rolled on. I appreciate that Joe and Jimmy talk about the 1689, but don’t come back to it as the definitive source of truth. Many confessional friends of mine do this and it drives me nuts!

Keep up the good work y’all! Thanks for doing this podcast!
