The Scafachiverse Podcast

Oh, wow. I was a little thrown off by the logo but heard good things about this so I gave it a chance. These guys are so funny. Give it a chance and thank me later.

These guys spend half the episode on inside jokes among friends that are neither funny nor entertaining. Not to mention all the crafts vulgar potty talk. This is a hard no for me.

Whenever I review a podcast, I try to answer the question, "Would I tell my friends to listen to this? If so, why?" The answer to this one is a pretty clear "no", largely due to how low-effort it is. With tens of thousands of podcasts out there to listen to, I can't think of anything about this one that makes it stand out to a new listener. There's no structure or format to speak of, there's no consistent subject matter or topic, and it seems obvious that no editing or post-production has been done to improve how it sounds- this podcast literally seems to be two guys sitting down, hitting record, talking about whatever pops into their heads, and then hitting upload. And when there's literally thousands of "two dudes talk about whatever" podcasts out there, the fact that this one doesn't even have a consistent theme is a big problem. (From the description it sounds like a sports podcast, but in the couple episodes I listened to, no sport was mentioned a single time.) Maybe if you listen to like ten or twenty episodes these guys' banter will grow on you, but if I have 10-20 hours to blow on a new podcast, I'd rather spend it on something where the hosts actually care about the listeners' time enough to actually put a few minutes into editing. It sounds like the hosts are having a good time, and I guess they get points for sticking with it for over a year instead of petering out after five episodes like most shows do, but again, there's just nothing about this one that would make me want to tell someone else to listen. If they're doing it just because they want to, good for them! But since I'm not them, I gotta give my honest opinion.

This podcast is absolutely hilarious. The hosts have amazing chemistry. The best thing about it is how natural everything comes off, this doesn’t feel forced or anything. Listen and enjoy.
