    Episode 6 - 🌾 Cottages, Cancelled Plans, and Yellowface

    This week’s episode starts off a little different — I spent two days at Milan’s cottage in the countryside, and I want to share what that quiet reset felt like before we dive into the main topic. I had originally planned to record with Angel and Tobias, but thanks to a delayed train we had to reschedule — that conversation will be out next week. Instead, today’s focus is on Yellowface by R.F. Kuang — a sharp, satirical novel about jealousy, race, cultural appropriation, and the publishing industry. In this episode, I unpack the plot, the messy brilliance of its characters, the themes that stood out to me, and the bigger questions it raises about who gets to tell which stories.
