Don't Explain

I try not to be overly critical of new podcasts. Like any media creation, nothing new is perfect to start with. The podcaster is clearly a film enthusiast knowledgeable about the subject, and the topic was interesting enough to listen to 2 episodes. I look forward to hearing about other genres in future episodes. That being said, the editing is sloppy. Please, if you’re going to say “genre” repeatedly, look up the correct pronunciation of the word. Also, there is a curious lack of attention to detail to names. I grew up in Colorado where the Anschutz name is a familiar one with its philanthropic reach. There is no L in it - it’s pronounced An-shoots. In the same episode, the podcaster refers to the legendary T Bone Burnett as T Bone Bennett. If this kind of easily verified stuff is wrong, it makes me wonder what else in the research is wrong too.

What a fun, wonderful idea for a podcast! Every episode is engaging, intriguing, and informative. Excellent production and narration as well. I hope there are more episodes to come.
