Zero Dark Thirty, Alvin Did Us Dirty
I watched Dawson’s Creek during its original run in 1998 as an awkward 13 year old and once it ended, I never watched it again…until this podcast came along. I love Alvin’s hot takes on the Affirmative Murder podcast, so I decided to give this gem a listen and I’m so glad I did. Or am I? I got hooked on listening to the first season run-down of what a deluded, burgeoning serial-murder monster Dawson Leery is and Alvin points out all the ways Dawson was straight up trash. At 13 I fully bought into the idea that he was just a love-sick “good guy”. I mean, if Dawson keeps saying it, it must be true, right? He’s the titular character! I was disappointed to hear Alvin say he would be taking a hiatus after the first season. But then he promised that there would be NO Zero Dark Thirty gaps in the podcast. Yet here we are in 2023 with no sign of a return. I NEED to hear Alvin’s thoughts on what happens in season 2 and beyond. He hasn’t even met Jack and Andi yet! There’s so much good, God-awfulness to come. This is such a wonderful podcast, please come back.
