    Reposting this incredible interview with Yohanna Hoehler in honor of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month! Yohanna Hoehler (39), is a Vulvar Cancer Survivor and Advocate. She is the founder of the Vulvar Cancer Awareness Forum, a non-profit organization. VCAF focuses on raising awareness and educating on all things Vulvar Cancer and provide support to those who have been diagnosed. Yohanna also actively advocates and lobbies for new Vulvar Cancer research and treatment advancements as most of what we know about this cancer is based on outdated information. During Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM), visit foundationforwomenscancer.org (link in bio) for information about gynecologic cancer symptoms and treatment, risk and prevention, clinical trials and survivor stories. Gynecologic oncologists are medical doctors with specialized training in treating gynecologic cancers. If cervical, ovarian, uterine/endometrial cancer, vaginal, or vulvar cancer is suspected or diagnosed, seek care from a gynecologic oncologist.  The Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) offers free, downloadable educational materials, many of them available in three languages: English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
