I'm a podcaster, so I understand the value of ratings and reviews. I'm giving this a sincere three stars because I am torn on this show.
I'm 100% new to Babylon 5, so I was wanting a companion podcast to listen to after I watch each episode. This show has the perfect format for that: two hosts that are veterans and two that are new. The experienced viewers can give information to the newbies that is also new to me, and we have a nice blend of reactions among the four. On that level, the show is easily five stars.
However half the panel has zero energy to their presentation and are frankly quite dull. The newbies are by far the most interesting part of the show but only make up about 30-40% of the content in the episodes I've heard. The fact that they're women, and that female fans of the genre are still a (growing) minority, adds to the fun of hearing their reactions.
So five stars for being exactly the format and content I was looking for, but losing two for boring me a lot of the time. If my experience improves as I listen, I'll edit this review.
