    “Foster Aviation had issued misleading safety bulletins related to the operational safety of its SE-10 helicopters worldwide.” Dr. Maryam Bayat, a renowned air crash investigator, is accused of mishandling an investigation into a helicopter carrying oil rig workers that had fallen out of the sky, plunging into the North Sea, killing everyone on board. The conspiracy begins in this prologue episode to ‘Flight 1971’ of a billion-dollar aviation corporation as it attempts to suppress knowledge of the crash by destroying the reputation of Dr. Maryam Bayat.     “Twenty miles north of Tehran is a crime scene involving 300 Britons."  From the Creative Director of Drama in 10, comes Flight 1971 - a heart-stopping conspiracy thriller set in the world of air crash investigation featuring a brilliant international cast of new voices.  Flight 1971 is on a routine flight from Bangkok to London when all communication is lost several hours into the flight. The plane makes a disastrous course change into Iranian military airspace, where it is blown out of the sky, killing everyone onboard.  Was this a hijacking gone wrong? Nobody knows except that peace in the region now moves a step closer to war. But with Iran refusing international assistance to help investigate the crash they turn to Dr. Maryam Bayat, a fallen-from-grace British-Iranian air crash investigator whose father was murdered by the Iranian regime, to uncover the deadly truth of what happened to the passengers and crew of Flight 1971. Flight 1971 is a new 13-part episodic series launching on May 26th, 2023 that kick-starts season two of Drama in 10s new original long-form drama series featuring a full cast of new voices and experimental storytelling in audio fiction.
