    Why is plastic so drastic?

    Welcome to the first episode of Drastic Plastic! In this episode I will be covering some basics on what plastic is, what plastic is made of, and the harms of plastic. Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay area, I have always been surrounded by the water. Almost every day I am out on the water and I never fail to see a piece of plastic in the marsh or in the waters. A few items that I have seen recently include: plastic bags, cans, bottles, straws, and containers. This podcast is a way to spread awareness on the damage that plastic waste is doing on our home and environment. Thank you for listening today! I hope you enjoy the first episode of Drastic Plastic.
