    You can’t stop his beat!!! Today’s episode features showbiz legend Marc Shaiman. Marc Shaiman is a composer, lyricist, arranger, and producer whose work has shaped some of the most beloved moments across film, tv, and Broadway. He began his career as Bette Midler’s musical director before becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognizable scoring voices, with credits including When Harry Met Sally, The Addams Family, Sister Act, and Sleepless in Seattle. Yes, Bette was just the BEGINNING!  On Broadway, Marc co‑wrote Hairspray with his longtime collaborator Scott Wittman — a creative partnership that has also brought us Catch Me If You Can, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, SMASH, and Some Like It Hot. Marc also has contributed to Saturday Night Live for many years!  We talk about the stories behind the music, the heart behind the humor, and how real experiences are translated into unforgettable songs.
