DrivingWithStrangers
Sam Harnett interviews rideshare passengers and mixes together their stories into a radio show. It's like a car-sized This American Life, or a stranger-meets-stranger StoryCorps, or a micro version of The Moth, or, well, you get the idea. Every episode features a different theme and runs between six and eight minutes.

Passengers in Sam Harnett’s ride-share taxi leaf through a book of questions, until one spurs them to talk. Traffic rolls by, the blinker goes on, and one at a time they begin to unfurl stories. Funny, silly, heartbreaking, devastating. Intercut, suspenseful, charming, this short show is always a pleasure, and a surprise, a slice of life traveling from point a to point b, like the best meeting with a stranger — brief and illuminating.

Every episode, series creator and interviewer Sam Harnett does an exceptional job of getting his ride-share passengers to reveal a bit if themselves through the microphone. Funny, poignant, personal. A bit like sneaking a look at a stranger's diary, Driving with Strangers gives peep-show glimpses of the lives around us.
