    DTVC Podcast 256, "We Go Again"

    Screenwriter Tom Jolliffe is back to discuss his newest film, "We Go Again," along with the film's two stars Zuza Tehanu and Charlotte Chiew. The first 30 minutes or so is a spoiler-free conversation about the film, so even if you haven't watched the movie yet, you can listen safely. Then after a break, I ask some questions that do contain spoilers, so be careful if you haven't seen it yet. Overall it was a great conversation about a film I really enjoyed.     DTVC Podcast 255, "Scorned" and "Victim of Desire"

    We're joined once again by Jon Cross from the PM Entertainment Podcast and the After Movie Diner, this time to discuss a Shannon Tweed erotic thriller double feature, with "Scorned" and "Victim of Desire." Before that though, for the first hour or so, Jon and I look at where Jim Belushi's career should go after his role in "The Chronology of Water," and then my mention of Sean Connery in the early James Bond films takes us off on a large tangent about accents in the UK and the starts of Michael Caine's and Terrence Stamp's careers. Then we get into the erotic thrillers, first with "Scorned," we discuss Tweed's performance, Andrew Stevens's direction, and the moments we really liked. And then with "Victim of Desire," it's all about the Wynorski, the Wings, the Strain, and definitely the Tweed as well.     In this episode I'm joined once again by Will from Exploding Helicopter, as we look at two films with Nepo Babies, this time focusing on Golden Age of Hollywood fathers. First we discuss the Fred Williamson movie "South Beach," which features Peter Fonda, nepo baby of Henry Fonda. We try to make sense of what Williamson was going for with this one. And then for the second film, we look at the AIP flick "Future Zone," starring David Carradine, nepo baby of John Carradine. Maybe not the prodigious cast of the first film, but it might be more fun.
