    Final Thoughts Ahead of No. 21 Oregon vs. Portland State

    ScoopDuckOn3's Max Torres and Justin Hopkins are back for their weekly preview podcast! No. 21 Oregon returns home to Eugene for what should be a tuneup game against FCS Portland State. The Ducks are 6-0 against the Vikings all-time and won the last matchup 81-7 back in 2023. The Ducks have a lot of questions to answer and it won't be possible to do it all in one week. What's important is that they start to find some at home before hitting the road to begin Big Ten play against USC next weekend. More than anything Oregon needs to figure out their offensive line, because Dante Moore and all that talent at the skill positions are borderline useless if there's no push up front and time to operate. On defense, the Ducks need to tackle better, make sure they're lined up properly before the snap win the line of scrimmage to create some havoc in the backfield. There's never been this much on the line for Oregon against an FCS opponent, but the Week 2 loss to Oklahoma State rocked the Ducks and has significantly decreased their margin for error moving forward in 2026.     Oregon is reeling after falling 39-31 to Oklahoma State in Week 2. The Ducks have been great on the road under Lanning, but Saturday's loss was the worst of his coaching career in Eugene.
