Welcome to the Dyslexia in Adults podcast, a weekly podcast discussing the reality of dyslexia, but only in adults.

I'm Natalie, the Founder of Dyslexia in Adults, and I am incredibly passionate about talking specifically about adult dyslexia.

It frustrates me so much when people talk about child dyslexia with only a cursory mention of adult dyslexia. When you think about it, there are more adults with dyslexia as nearly seventy percent of the worlds population are over the age of eighteen! There is also a wave of adults being diagnosed with dyslexia later in life, with little or no information about how to navigate the challenges that are specific to adults with dyslexia.

It also doesn’t help those people who want to help adults with dyslexia; line managers, work colleagues, friends, family, if the only information available is that to support children as opposed to what it means to have and support dyslexia in adulthood.

I have rolled up my sleeves, and I am determined to create a space where we only talk about adult dyslexia. It's not part of the conversation, it is the conversation.

Come and join the conversation and help us grow the community. All I ask is that, if you find the content valuable, please rate, review and share this podcast to help others find it.

C Roy Moon ,

Thank you

This is an essential podcast for all educators. People often misunderstand dyslexia and this perpetuates negative connotations. This podcast covers emotional and practical issues with dyslexia. This podcast makes me feel proud to be dyslexia, because it’s such a deep part of me. If you have dyslexia, you will feel a special connection and understanding to these shows.

Andrew Arjan ,

I can relate 100% to this podcast!

I recently found out I was dyslexic and with several weeks passing I found this podcast. It’s the first time I could relate 100% of my dyslexia in media. Finding out you have had dyslexia your whole life but not knowing was a ground breaking moment for me. I feel like I was able to put all the puzzle pieces together for the times I didn’t understand my life and my condition…. This podcast is a very realistic way of showcasing dyslexia in the realest and most authentic way. It was like looking in the mirror and finding attributes of myself I never saw looking in the mirror. I just want to thank the creator for putting her time and energy into this. It’s absolutely going to help so many souls navigate a more true way of living. It feels so much better when you know others are going through the same thing as yourself. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this podcast and your contribution to the world of dyslexia….. you have helped so many people like myself just by your expressions in this podcast and on social media. Please listen to this podcast everyone ! Sending lots of good vibrations your way from Sunny Los Angeles California- Andrew
