Episodes

  1. 07/22/2022

    004 - Russian Fairy Tales

Two rather strange stories from Russia today - one about a flying Tsar and the next about an immortal warrior who dies. Apologies for the long delay! We hope you'll enjoy this episode.

  2. 06/14/2022

003 - East of the Rising Sun

The first chapter of an upcoming book by the producer. Enjoy!

  3. 06/06/2022

Episode 2 - Sigurd and the Dragon

A short, rather dark episode on a prince and his quest for revenge. Next week, something lighter! We hope you enjoy this episode.

  4. 05/14/2022

    001 - The Redcrosse Knight

Our very first story! In which is told of dragons, ships at sea, and a particularly large (spoiler alert) feast.  For the original story, read Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, the earliest cantos contain The Redcrosse Knight. For an excellent (unlike ours?) retelling, see Margaret Hodge's 'Saint George and the Dragon', illustrated by the indubitable Trina Schart Hyman. A classic. Apologies for the poor audio quality, technology tried its best and to a certain extent prevailed in its fight against The Producer.

    000 - Story as Imitation

The inaugural episode of Ealdspell! In which is discussed thesis statements, dragons, and RomComs.
