Soulstice garden got its first growing season and it was fantastic! Seed & Soul Society had over 20 regular volunteers during our Tending Thursday volunteer events. We sure learned a lot but, overall we are excited to plan and improve upon the garden for next growing season.

002 - Growing Food = Growing Community w/our Master Gardener
Earthward is show that looks inward to explore the local culture, community, and sustainable growth in Mid-Western America. What can we do to ensure our families, communities and our earth are a little better after we leave. We journey back to our roots with our novice co-hosts to have conversations with a wide array of thought leaders to spark radical dreams of what could be instead of what has been.
This week Tyler & Shannon talk about our hot soup food distribution moving to Saturdays at the YMCA and talk to the resident master gardener and president of Seed & Soul Society, Heather Fagan. We talk about what you need to think about when planning your at home garden. What types of crops work well in small urban spaces? Raised beds or direct sow? Where in my yard is best? Do I need to test my soil? All those questions and more answered by our master gardener with additional links below for more in depth resources.
