He also talks about the differences between the Swedish and American healthcare systems, shares what initially sparked his interest in the field and why he is not worried that the microscope will be a redundant tool in pathology anytime soon. Joseph Carlson has previously worked at Karolinska Institute, where he is still actively doing research.     Our fifth guest speaker is Assistant Professor Anniina Färkkilä from Helsinki University Hospital, Finland. Anniina is a gynecologist, and a principal investigator. Currently, she is focusing on the treatment of gynecologic cancer patients and translational research.
