Audio Essays
I discovered Egg Shell podcasts recently, quite by accident. I found them helpful and interesting but often I was distracted by daily life or I didn’t relate to the topic of discussion. THEN I listened to one of the audio essays. The experience was so powerful - listening a voice directed to the listener as if speaking to me. I immediately grabbed my headphones so I could completely immerse myself in the wisdom and revelations you wrote in your essays. (Reading on a computer screen can not replace the voice). Speaking of the “Voice”;it is so perfect in all ways. I think I recognize the artist, but whoever it is expresses your thoughts clearly and elegantly. Thank you. NG
Host interrupts
Very hard to listen to when the host is constantly interrupting her guest in odd spots
Imi is unlike any other psycotherapist in the world
Some reviews talk about Imi interrupting, but it should be noted that Imi herself is a psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and unique perspective. I see this not simply as an interview, but a dialogue between two parties who are very knowledgeable. It’s great to see how they build off each other.
I found imi through her extensive writings on PsychologyToday and finding eggshelltherapy website. Her specific perspective digs deep into BPD, cultural nuance, and more. Her podcast is a great resource that gets updated and shines light on another specific facet of this way of being. I thank Imi for her heartwork and continuously building the book for patients in a way that is accessible, caring, and ahead of the normal narrative.
