I heard of the Ehducation podcast from Steph's guest appearance on another podcast. Her hosts were nice enough to mention it, and how they'd met through one of Steph's podcasts. I've already listened to the first 5 podcasts, from Introduction through Chris Hadfield (leader among astronauts).
I had heard of poutine, before, and as fat as we are in the US, already, as tasty as it sounds, it needs to stay up there, where people have to walk farther to visit each other. I think Steph could have mentioned also that Tim Horton's (employee-owned, right?) is also one of the most trusted, and trustworthy, corporations in the world.
I did know that Quebec is a walled city, but I'm not sure I knew that it's the only walled city in North America. I guess if the zombies don't get inside, the walls are great. I remember when Richmond, VA, flooded inside its flood wall, from a heavy rain.
And Chris Hadfield is amazing. Astronauts have always been heroes to me, going back to the Mercury and Gemini programs. Maybe when his children are all grown, he can go into Canadian politics, with his leadership and language abilities. Even relatively polite Canadian politics can't help but be improved by his participation.
I look forward to learning more about my neighbor to the north. Ehducation is great listening. :)
