When you all took a little (well deserved) break I really, really missed y’all. Get with the importance of field recordings and GenX wisdom. Love them.

I’ve been a fan of David since his comics in the early 2000s, which were the first leftist perspectives I was exposed to, and of Jon since the inception of EPM. While it’s fun to think about prediction markets, it’s much more fun to listen to the boys falling down rabbit holes about John Schofield (public relations executive to the stars), jokes about sailboats, and field recordings from listeners. There is simply no podcast I like more in the world. I hope you like it too.

You guys make my wednesday mornings as i head to work. But if you’re going to keep glossing over issues like the horrors of this “speech” to the generals (in which they literally tell them to fight “the enemy within,” and that they will use American cities as “training” for US troops) - with bland statements that you didn’t even watch/hear it, you just “read about it on BlueSky/what are they doing in cities?” - it’s just not funny anymore. I’m gen-x, i get the slacker approach, and I know we’re all laughing to keep from crying, but… i’d rather hear honest sentiment than clever barbs… you’ve given us plenty of great yucks, but your best moments are of heartfelt honesty and intimate friendship… you done lost me…
