上次我们讲了常见的交通工具

shàng cì | wǒ men | jiǎng le | cháng jiàn | de | jiāo tōng | gōng jù

Last time we talked about common means of transportation.

今天就来讲讲电瓶车

jīn tiān | jiù lái | jiǎng jiǎng | diàn dòng chē

Today we'll talk about electric bikes.

电瓶车太好用了

diàn dòng chē | tài | hǎo yòng | le

Electric bikes are so useful.

自从我买了电瓶车

zì cóng | wǒ | mǎi le | diàn dòng chē

Since I bought an electric bike,

就常常骑它

jiù | cháng cháng | qí | tā

I ride it very often.

电瓶车和摩托车有点像

diàn dòng chē | hé | mó tuō chē | yǒu diǎn | xiàng

Electric bikes are a bit like motorcycles,

不过摩托车是加油的

bù guò | mó tuō chē | shì | jiā yóu | de

but motorcycles run on gasoline,

而且开起来突突突地响

ér qiě | kāi qǐ lái | tū tū tū | de | xiǎng

and they make a "putt-putt" sound when driving.

电瓶车是充电的

diàn dòng chē | shì | chōng diàn | de

Electric bikes are charged with electricity,

而且现在的电瓶车做的很小巧

ér qiě | xiàn zài | de | diàn dòng chē | zuò de | hěn | xiǎo qiǎo

and now electric bikes are made very compact.

不需要考证就可以骑

bù xū yào | kǎo zhèng | jiù | kě yǐ | qí

You can ride them without needing a license.

I look back,

为什么没有早点买电瓶车呢

I installed two armrests on the back seat of the electric bike,

The disadvantages of electric bikes are

风吹、日晒、雨淋

wind, sun, and rain exposure.

所以在春天和秋天不下雨的时候

So when it doesn't rain in spring and autumn,

骑起来最舒适

riding them is the most comfortable.

Its advantages are

you can park wherever you want,

Most electric bikes on urban roads

大多数都是外卖员

are ridden by food delivery riders.

因为现在的外卖太发达了

Because the food delivery industry is so developed now,

有非常多的外卖员在路上跑

there are a lot of delivery riders rushing on the roads.

他们的速度很快

tā men | de | sù dù | hěn kuài

They ride very fast,

一定要小心

yī dìng | yào | xiǎo xīn

so you must be careful.

很多家长接送孩子就是骑的电瓶车

hěn duō | jiā zhǎng | jiē sòng | hái zi | jiù shì | qí de | diàn dòng chē

Many parents ride electric bikes to pick up and drop off their kids,

还有一些骑三轮电瓶车

hái yǒu | yī xiē | qí | sān lún | diàn dòng chē

and some ride three-wheeled electric bikes.

有罩子，就不怕日晒雨淋

yǒu | zhào zi | jiù | bù pà | rì shài | yǔ lín

These have canopies, so they don't have to worry about sun and rain.

还有些三轮车全身都是金属材料

hái yǒu | xiē | sān lún chē | quán shēn | dōu shì | jīn shǔ | cái liào

Some three-wheeled bikes are made entirely of metal,

像一个迷你的小汽车

xiàng | yī gè | mí nǐ | de | xiǎo qì chē

like a mini car,

而且做得越来越漂亮

ér qiě | zuò de | yuè lái yuè | piào liang

and they are made more and more beautiful.
