Dynasty Go Home: Ospreay & Mox Turn Up The Heat, MJF & Omega Went On WHEN???

It’s officially go-home time for AEW Dynasty, and this episode of Elite Heat breaks down everything from a loaded Dynamite that had a LOT of ground to cover. With only a handful of matches announced heading into the night, AEW had serious work to do and for the most part, they delivered in a big way. From chaos in the opening segment to a wild main event and a controversial post-show promo battle, we’re diving into what worked, what didn’t, and what has us hyped heading into Sunday. 🔥 What We Cover:Ospreay vs Moxley explodes to open AND close the showUnited Empire makes a strong statement ahead of Forbidden Door seasonTNT Title vacated: Casino Gauntlet match now has huge stakesJericho vs Ricochet added to the Dynasty card (and Jericho feels refreshed)Young Bucks vs Okada & Takeshita officially setWomen’s division confusion continuesDarby Allin teases a possible heel turn?!Cope & Christian vs FTR build hits its strideA chaotic main event that steals the showThe weirdly timed Omega vs MJF segment AFTER the show?! 💥 Match of the Night: United Empire vs Death Riders (Chaos in Canada Match)An absolute war that showcased United Empire in a huge way and pushed Ospreay vs Moxley into must-see territory. 🚨 Biggest Takeaways:Ospreay vs Moxley is now the hottest match on the cardThis feud has been built perfectly week by week, and it officially feels like a Match of the Year contender.AEW had to build the card fast and mostly succeededThere’s still some messy booking (especially in the women’s division), but the show did its job.The “I need this” promo hit different and could signal a major character shift.Omega vs MJF deserved better placement. 🤔 What Didn’t Work:Sloppy ref timing issues popping up againWomen’s title match feels rushed with minimal buildSome confusing storyline direction (trios scene, random match placements)Post-main event segment likely missed by part of the audience 🎯 Final Verdict: This was an A-level go-home show that did exactly what it needed to do: build excitement and get fans invested. Not perfect, but when it mattered most, AEW delivered, especially with Ospreay vs Moxley, which now feels like the centerpiece of Dynasty. 🎧 Don’t Miss It: 👉 Follow/Subscribe so you don’t miss our AEW Dynasty recap👉 Drop a rating if you’re enjoying the show Like what you hear? Jericho Is Home! Plus The Winding Road To Dynasty

AEW Dynamite heads to Winnipeg and delivers a newsworthy episode highlighted by the shocking return of Chris Jericho, a show-stealing performance from Will Ospreay vs PAC, and a strong main event featuring MJF vs Speedball Mike Bailey. But while the in-ring action delivered, the booking? That’s where things get… confusing. We break down everything from Jericho’s comeback and AEW future implications to the growing chaos in the world title picture heading into AEW Dynasty. 🚨 In this episode: Jericho’s Return: Game-Changer or More Chaos? Where does he fit with MJF, Omega, and Moxley already in the mix? AEW’s Main Event Scene is Crowded… and Confusing Darby Allin, Brody King, Kenny Omega...who’s actually next? Missed Opportunities on Dynamite? Only 4 matches in 2 hours raises questions about roster usage. Willow Nightingale’s Open Challenge Is this setting up the return of Mercedes Moné… or a surprise debut? 👍 What Worked  Outstanding in-ring quality across all four matches  Ospreay continues to feel like THE guy  MJF’s character work remains next-level  Jericho’s return created real buzz 👎 What Didn’t  Confusing booking in the Darby/MJF segment  Lack of clear direction heading into Dynasty  Underutilized roster despite limited match count  Crowd energy dipped hard during certain segments 🎯 Final Thoughts This was a good episode of AEW Dynamite with great wrestling, but it also highlighted a growing issue: too many moving parts without clear direction. If this is all building toward something bigger (All In?), it could pay off.Right now though… it feels messy. Like what you hear? Missed Opportunities: Omega vs Swerve SHOCKER, Why Are We Rushing, & What About The Women?

AEW Dynamite delivered a blockbuster match with Kenny Omega vs Swerve Strickland, but did AEW just fumble a major storyline opportunity? It's Episode 20 of Elite Heat! We celebrate the milestone before diving into a jam-packed Dynamite that left us equal parts impressed and frustrated. In this episode of Elite Heat, we break down everything from Dynamite, including:  Why Omega vs Swerve felt like a pay-per-view match on free TV The big mistake that could hurt Swerve’s momentum  Early thoughts on Omega vs MJF The growing list of World Title contenders Concerns about AEW’s women’s division booking Darby Allin’s insane main event (and his future)  The rise of Kyle Fletcher, Ricochet, and moreThe theme of the night: interesting ideas, shaky execution. Is AEW Ready for Revolution? Speedball Mike Bailey & Kyle Fletcher Impress, MJF & Hangman's Press Conference, And A Lot Of Willow

This week's AEW Dynamite had the bones of a genuinely great go-home show...and then kept going. Kyle Fletcher and Speedball Mike Bailey delivered an incredible match, the six-man tag featuring the Bucks, Briscoe, FTR, and Ciampa was a close second, and the Death Riders match was a notable improvement on last week.  Plus, we speculate (wildly) about the absence of Excalibur and the appearance of Ian Riccaboni on commentary alongside Bryan Danielson. WHAT WE COVER IN THIS EPISODE • Death Riders (Mox & Claudio) vs. Hechicero & Takeshita – Tim notices the deliberate booking decision to keep Mox and Hechicero apart after last week's timing issues, and whether that was a smart call or a subtle admission. • Fletcher vs. Speedball Mike Bailey for the TNT Title – Match of the Night. From the poisonrana on the apron to Bailey's relentless arm psychology, we break down why this match stole the show and why it needs to be run back. • Brody King vs. Jabroni (Standby Match) – Why does AEW keep calling these "standby matches"? We aren't here for the gimmick, even when the match itself is fine. • The Don Callis Family & Takeshita's Turn – The long-building Takeshita face turn, the missed opportunity of an Okada match, and whether the Don Callis Family is headed for a split or a slow fade. • Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd & David Finlay – Darby's absolutely terrifying head-to-head collision and the shocking return of Roderick Strong. Does it make story sense? • Persephone vs. Willow (TBS Title) – Mercedes dropping belts, Willow doing double duty at Revolution, and the theory that she may be deliberately set up to lose the tag titles. • Young Bucks & Briscoe vs. FTR & Tommaso Ciampa – A match that would have been MOTN on any other night. • The MJF / Hangman Press Conference – The crowd chanted "this is boring" and we agree. Why putting Hangman in front instead of MJF was a booking mistake, why Bryan Danielson looked like he wanted to be anywhere else, and why this segment should never happen again. • Revolution Preview & 21-Man National Title Match – What's the card looking like? Who's in the battle royal? And why does adding 20 more people actually make it easier for Ricochet to retain? • Things My Wife Said While Watching Wrestling – A nurse's instant medical correction of Ian Riccobani's commentary, delivered with perfect timing.
