    Repentant Soul  Guest: Andrea Gatewood A Repentant Soul is one that longs, desires, and strives tostay God-facing, renouncing, resisting, laying down, and removing anything,person, situation, and temptation that would cause them to even drift 2 degreesfrom being in the Light.   The Lord Jesus has come, and He has shone a light on thethings in our lives that have kept us hindered, bound, distracted, stagnant,and sliding back into darkness, and now is the time to repent. (Matthew4:16-17)   Christ's call to repent and turn away from dark activitiesto the light has always been, and will always be, a call filled with love shownthrough His patience, restraint, and kindness, giving us space and time torepent. (Romans 2:4)   Repentance (Proverbs 28:13), among other Christiandisciplines, helps us stay strong, committed, and steadfast in our walk in theLight. Bible Study & Meditation: The intentional reading,studying, and pondering of Scripture to know God and apply His truths (Psalm119:15, Joshua 1:8, 2 Timothy 3:16–17). Prayer: Communicating with God toexpress worship, confession, gratitude, or requests (1 Thessalonians 5:17,Matthew 6:5–13, Philippians 4:6). Fasting: Voluntarily abstaining fromfood or other necessities for a spiritual purpose (Matthew 4:2, Matthew6:16–18, Acts 13:2–3). Silence & Solitude: Stepping away from noise andpeople to be alone with God, focusing on His presence (Mark 1:35, Psalm 46:10,Luke 5:16). Worship: Engaging in corporate orprivate adoration of God (John 4:23–24, Hebrews 10:24–25, Psalm 95:6). Repentance: A lifelong practice, not merely a one-time actat conversion. It involves a heartfelt change of mind (Acts 3:19, Proverbs28:13, 2 Peter 3:9, and Mark 1:15) Service/Stewardship: Using time, talents, andresources (giving) to serve others and God (Galatians 5:13, Matthew 25:35–40,Romans 12:13). Confession: Acknowledging sins to God andfellow believers to foster humility and receive forgiveness (James 5:16, 1 John1:9, Psalm 32:5). Fellowship: Participating in the communityof believers for encouragement and growth (Acts 2:42, Hebrews 10:24–25). Simplicity: Cultivating an inward focus onGod that results in a lifestyle free from consumerism and greed (Matthew6:19–33, Hebrews 13:5). Submission: Choosing to submit to God’swill and to others for the sake of the Gospel (Ephesians 5:21, James 4:7). Journaling: Recording spiritual thoughts,prayers, and God's actions (Psalm 77:11–12).
