Wajid is the director of the sound art research cooperative Modus Arts, the co-founder of the destructivist Scrapclub project, and director of the Ear Cinema project. Emilia Telese has worked with printmaking and performance in parallel for many years, joining them together in the past three years of her artistic research to create performance to print pieces, where the two media feed off each other, alternating permanence and impermanence, mark-making and time-based practice.     Embracing Identity is a cross-discipline exploration of learned and societal expectations of identity, ageing & authenticity in my own and others' work and life. Part of this artistic project is a series of live Zoom interviews with artists whom I'm collaborating with. pink suits are a Queer punk band from Margate, UK, making loud aggressive political punk noise as well as dance, physical theatre, film and art. Their work is an exploration of sexuality, fantasy, mental health, politics, activism and resistance. They are founders and creators of the LGBTQIA+ club night ‘Queer Cuntry’. They also happen to be the third guests on my Embracing Identity Live Q&A. Join us as we discuss identity in art and music, creativity and exploration of identity.

    Embracing Identity is a multi-disciplinary art project funded by Arts Council England "What makes us who we are? What shapes us? And what happens when we no longer identify with who we were?" To find answers, I am collaborating with artists from various fields to produce performances and have discussions on what makes an identity. From these artistic works and conversations, I hope they help you follow curiosities and ask questions about who you are you too.
