The Currency We Don't Count: Discovering the Hidden Wealth of Service

Send us Fan Mail What if the most valuable rewards from your work never appear on a paycheck? In this episode, we explore a different kind of currency—the wisdom, compassion, resilience, perspective, and connection we receive through serving others. Whether you're a caregiver, healthcare professional, teacher, volunteer, leader, or simply someone striving to live with purpose, this conversation invites you to look beyond financial success and discover the richness found in meaningful work. Through personal reflection and stories from years of working with older adults, we'll consider how every act of kindness, every shared moment, and every lesson learned becomes part of the harvest we carry within ourselves. Perhaps true wealth isn't measured by what we earn—but by who we become. ✨ In this episode, you'll discover:  • How to redefine success beyond money  • The hidden gifts found in serving others  • Why resilience can become a form of wealth  • A simple reflection to help you uncover your own inner harvest Take a deep breath, settle in, and join me as we explore the currency that never loses its value. Show Notes In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to measure success by income, productivity, and achievement. But some of life's greatest rewards can't be deposited into a bank account. Today we're talking about the unseen exchange that happens whenever we care for another person, listen deeply, teach, encourage, or simply show up with presence. These experiences shape us in ways that money never can. Reflection Questions • What have you received through your work that money couldn't buy?  • How has serving others changed you?  • What qualities have grown within you because of the people you've met?  • What kind of "currency" are you collecting each day? Thank you for spending this time with me. The Freedom Found Beyond Blame

Send us Fan Mail In this episode, I'm sharing a personal update on my ongoing hip journey and something I've been reflecting on along the way. After years of surgeries, I've noticed how often people want someone to blame. Sometimes they blame the surgeons. Sometimes they wonder if I made the wrong decisions. It comes from a place of caring, but it has made me ask a deeper question: Why are we so uncomfortable when there isn't someone to blame? I also share the story of a gentleman I work with who experienced a stroke. He told me that after he stopped going to work, many people didn't even notice he was gone. It would have been easy for him to become bitter or resentful, yet he chose something different. He carries himself with gratitude instead of blame, and his perspective has become one of my greatest teachers. Nature reminds us that there is no competition among flowers or trees, and sometimes things just don't grow well---and there is nothing to blame.  It just is. What if we're meant to live that way too? Join me as we explore paying closer attention, letting go of blame, and remembering that perhaps we were never meant to live as "me versus you" or "us versus them." Maybe we're here to be partners in one another's lives, helping each other grow with a little more kindness, understanding, and compassion. #Mindfulness365 #MindfulLiving #Compassion #ChooseKindness #Resilience #HealingJourney #PersonalGrowth #LifeLessons #Awareness #Presence #Gratitude #AdaptiveYoga #ChairYoga #Wellness #EmbracingSpiritYoga #ColoradoYoga #CommunityOverCompetition #HumanConnection #BeTheLight #EmbracingWisdom Support the show ➡️ Subscribe to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Embracingspirityoga/featured?sub_confirmation=1 🌟 Follow for More Inspiration & Healing Practices: 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/embracingspirityoga 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/embracingspirityoga 👉🏻Shop More Content https://www.buymeacoffee.com/staciewyatt

Can You Retrain Your Brain? My First Experience with Neurofeedback and Chronic Pain

Send us Fan Mail After years of chronic pain, multiple surgeries, and feeling like my nervous system was stuck in survival mode, I decided to try something new: neurofeedback. In this episode, I'm sharing my personal experience during my first weeks of treatment, why I chose this path, and the surprising discoveries from my brain mapping session. One of the most fascinating findings? My brain waves already showed patterns consistent with someone who has a long-term mindfulness practice. Years of yoga, meditation, and breathwork appear to have strengthened areas associated with regulation and awareness—even while living with chronic pain. We'll talk about: What neurofeedback actually isHow it differs from meditationWhy chronic pain is more than damaged tissuesThe concept of "rerouting" pain pathwaysNeuroplasticity and the brain's ability to changeWhat my own brain map revealedMy hopes for reducing pain and improving quality of lifeThis isn't medical advice or a miracle cure story. It's simply one woman's journey exploring another tool for healing after years of adapting to pain. If you've ever wondered whether the brain can learn new patterns, this episode is for you. When Life Doesn’t Work Out the Way You Planned: The Two Choices We All Face

Send us Fan Mail 🎧 EPISODE DESCRIPTION  When life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped, expected, or worked so hard for, it can leave us feeling lost, discouraged, or deeply disappointed. In those moments, we often have two choices: to close down or to stay open. In this episode, I reflect on what it means to meet unexpected change with honesty, compassion, and resilience—without bypassing grief or forcing positivity. This is a gentle conversation about choice, acceptance, and learning how to move forward when the path looks nothing like we imagined. This conversation is rooted in mindfulness, lived experience, and yogic philosophy, especially the practice of ahimsa (non-harming). I share reflections on how we can honor disappointment and grief without letting them define us, and how choosing openness doesn’t mean liking what happened—it means refusing to abandon ourselves in the process. This episode is for anyone navigating: Chronic illness, injury, or unexpected changeGrief over a life that looks different than plannedEmotional fatigue from “holding it together”A quiet longing for peace amid uncertaintyYou are not broken because life changed.  You are human—and you still get to choose how you meet this moment. Living Ahimsa in Real Life: Self-Love, Compassion & Everyday Choices

Send us Fan Mail Ahimsa, often translated as non-violence, is more than a yogic concept—it’s a daily practice in how we treat ourselves and others. In this episode, we explore what it means to live ahimsa in real life, especially when it comes to self-love, inner dialogue, boundaries, and compassion during challenging moments. This conversation invites a softer, more honest approach to self-care—one that doesn’t bypass difficulty, but meets it with kindness and awareness. You’ll hear practical reflections and gentle suggestions for bringing ahimsa off the mat and into everyday choices, relationships, and self-talk. Whether you’re navigating stress, self-judgment, or simply longing for a more compassionate way of being, this episode offers space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. 🗒️ Show Notes In this episode, we explore: What ahimsa really means beyond “non-violence” How self-criticism can be a subtle form of harm Why self-love is not indulgent, but essential Practical ways to practice compassion toward yourself and others Losing labels as an act of ahimsa Meeting difficult emotions with gentleness instead of force Reflection Question: Where might you be able to soften your inner response this week? #Ahimsa  #SelfCompassion  #GentleLiving  #MindfulLife  #YogaPhilosophy  #SelfLovePractice  #CompassionInAction  #HealingJourney  #NervousSystemCare  #SoftStrength Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more mindful movement, healing, and inspiration. 🔔 Subscribe for more gentle yoga, chronic pain support, and healing movement:  👉 https://www.youtube.com/@Embracingspirityoga?sub_confirmation=1  🛍️ Shop Digital Wellness Tools → https://www.buymeacoffee.com/staciewyatt  🌐 Visit the Blog → https://embracingwisdomandwellness.com Stay Connected & Inspired:     • Website: https://embracingwisdomandwellness.com/     • Pinterest: @embracingspirityogaandwellness     • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/embracingspirityoga     • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/embracingspirityoga #GentleYoga #YogaForBeginners #PoseOfTheDay #DailyYoga #MindfulMovement #AccessibleYoga #YogaForHealing #ChairYoga #YogaPractice #YogaForEveryBody Support the show ➡️ Subscribe to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Embracingspirityoga/featured?sub_confirmation=1 🌟 Follow for More Inspiration & Healing Practices: 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/embracingspirityoga 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/embracingspirityoga 👉🏻Shop More Content https://www.buymeacoffee.com/staciewyatt
