    Filly is joined with the Funk’tional Nutritionist Erin Holt, a power-house functional medicine practitioner based in the USA. I was sooooooo excited when Erin said “Yes!” to coming onto our show. I have been following Erin for years on Insta, and started listening to her podcast a few years ago when I was trying to find answers to my “third” body burnout flare-up during COVID times. I felt so stuck with trying to heal my symptoms - none of the “physical” functional medicine protocols that worked last time, were working this time - and when I came across Erin’s podcast where she talks about Intuitive Functional Medicine and healing all “bodies” of the self as a WHOLE (physical, mental-emotional, spiritual, energetic), I knew I’d found the missing piece to my own healing. I’d been trying to “treat” myself and clients as if we are just one body - “physical” - when actually that is incomplete and reductionist, and will never lead to deep and long-term healing and health.     Filly is joined with one of our inspirational clients who is mid-way through our Ending Body Burnout Method 6-month program. Emily so honestly and generously shares her ending body burnout journey to overcome long-haul COVID, severe fatigue, chronic headaches and POTs symptoms, and how she is finally transforming her health by getting to the root and learning to deeply love and trust herself. These real-life stories are super special - I call them “evidence collecting”. Evidence that healing IS possible. The more you can hear and see this, the more it becomes possible for you! So we are so  incredibly grateful to this truly inspiring woman, for coming on the show today, to spread hope and healing with others. 

     

    In this episode, Emily chats to Filly about:

     


    Her journey prior to meeting Chris & Filly, as she tried to recover from long-haul COVID: the GP visits & tests (that showed everything was “fine”), the acupuncture, the naturopaths, the nutritionists, the supplements, the brain rewiring exercises. All of these things helped a little, but she knew she hadn’t found the ROOT-root-cause.
    We then go into her functional lab testing, that we do at the start of a client’s journey. Emily showed up with adrenal fatigue, mitochondria retraction, low serotonin levels, SIBO (for the third time!) and detox issues. All body system imbalances that can trigger post-viral fatigue. 
    We then dive into the “metaphysical” side of healing inside our Ending Body Burnout Method (also known as Spark). Emily shares the moment she created a dysfunctional belief about herself when she was a child - that she wasn’t “normal”, that she was less than - and how it had created over-doing patterns, and had been impacting every area of her life, including blocking her ability to heal. 
    She shares how life is now: energy levels improving each week, headaches dissipating, and finally feeling for the first time in her life a sense of being in flow, relaxed inside herself as she has learned to deeply love and trust herself.
