enVision Together: Going to Our Next Level of Best is happy to present Airick Journey (AJ) Crabill, who’s focus is improving student outcomes. He serves as Conservator at DeSoto, Texas ISD. Under AJ’s guidance, the DeSoto district improved their F-rated performances in academics, finance, and governance to B ratings. He’s Education Faculty at the Leadership Institute of Nevada and National Director of Governance at the Council of the Great City Schools. He served as Deputy Commissioner at the Texas Education Agency and, as Board Chair of Kansas City Public Schools, spearheaded reforms that doubled the percentage of literate and numerate students. Crabill is a recipient of the Education Commission of the State's James Bryant Conant Award. This conversation gets at the core of why he does this work.

Kim is also the director of a humanitarian organization. She's a popular speaker, and the author of two books. Her first book, Cry Until You Laugh, is about her and her husband's battle with cancer after being diagnosed just four months a part. Her second book, Love Is, chronicles her year long quest to figure out the true meaning of love, a sometimes funny, sometimes scary, always enlightening journey that led to life-changing discoveries found mostly on the streets of Haiti.

After serving on the jury for a murder trial, she was charged with contempt of court and endured months of trauma, the threat of jail, and thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees.

The author, an adoptive mother of children from trauma and an advocate for other child and adult victims of society, was a victim herself, but because of her strong faith and many years of experience fighting the legal system for others, emerged as a victor. You will be amazed at the number of traumatic events that occurred during five hellish months of her life. And you will be inspired by her courage, selflessness, and steadfastness through it all.

Jimmy Clare is a motivational speaker, Autism Advocate, author, and founder of CrazyFitnessGuy. Before he started his career as a motivational speaker life was a bumpy road.
Doctors told Jimmy's parents that he would not be able to walk without braces or crutches but his family didn't take their word for it. They took him home, loved him as he was, and taught him to persevere.
What Makes Him Different From Other Public Speakers?
He was diagnosed with Non-Verbal Learning Disorder also known as Autism and this is what he considers to be his unique advantage.
There was a point in his life when he thought being different was a bad thing and he was scared that something was wrong with him.
He was bullied from elementary school to high school. Weight gain due to medication led to more bullying. As a result, he was determined to come off his meds and he did over time. Jimmy was bullied so often, it became so bad that he would go home in tears every day. It was a horrible experience and he vowed to change what he was going through.
Therefore, he lost the weight and learned to stand up to his bullies. That turned his life around. Now he stands up to bullies for those who haven't learned to do so yet. Some of the ways he does this is through his fitness coaching and speaking engagements.

On today's episode, Dr. Mshana interviews Ahmard Vital who in 2011, published, "Awaken the Baller Within," which was quickly labeled as the “athlete’s life manual” by some pundits in sports media. This book was taught in more than a dozen colleges and close to fifty athletic departments and sports camps. As a mental performance coach, Ahmard helped secure more than $6 million dollars in scholarship monies and worked with athletes at the Division I level and the National Football League.
Not long after a successful career as a college football recruiting analyst with Scout.com, a Fox Sports affiliate, Ahmard founded That Guy Media Group and expanded his platform to small business and nonprofit organizations where he focused on dream building, goal setting, and a relentless pursuit of the aforementioned. By teaching his audiences to recognize their strengths, and capitalize on the power that everyone harnesses within, individuals can realize previously unimagined levels of personal happiness and success.
Ahmard is becoming one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the world, working in countries like Zambia and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
