I loved how you told this part of the story. I think it’s so important to highlight the things that made this ministry so attractive especially in the beginning. I also loved the way that you described the ways that the church gained more influence over your lives slowly over several years. It reminds me of the analogy with the frog in the pot of boiling water. If you toss it in the boiling water, the frog would jump right out, but if you slowly turn up the heat, he will stay in the water until he gets cooked.
