However he always had the ambitions in joining the a Police Force in which in 2007 he joined the Northern Territory Police. During his 15 years of policing he served in remote communities throughout the NT and multiple roles however moved specifically into the Detective pipeline. After finishing schooling and moving into the workforce Michael had ambitions of joining the Victorian Police Force. Michael Joined the police in 2018 and spent his career in general duties, a secondment to the Detectives unit and also spending time in the Police Communications more specifically the call centre. On today's Zero Limits Podcast host Matty Morris chats with Zac Rolfe former infantry soldier from the 1st Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and Northern Territory Police Officer. In 2010 he enlisted in the Australian Army, serving in Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. After being discharged in 2015, he applied tp be a cop and was accepted by the Northern Territory force, enrolling at the academy in Darwin in May 2016. Rolfe graduated as dux of his squad and was posted to Alice Springs in Central Australia – his first preference. In December 2016, during his first week with the NT Police, he rescued two tourists from flood waters near Alice Springs, for which he and a colleague were awarded the Bravery Medal in 2018. He joined the Alice Springs Immediate Response Team (IRT) in November 2017. Kumanjayi Walker was a 19-year-old violent offender with history of offences who was shot by former police officer Zachary Rolfe in November 2019 during an attempted arrest in Yuendumu, Northern Territory after Walker had stabbed Rolfe with scissors and threatened to kill the officers. Four days after the incident Zac was charged with murder with no support from the NT government and his commanders however in 2022 was acquitted of murder charges. Growing up on the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne with his older brother Josh, and after leaving school with a couple of years on the workforce Alex decided to join the Victorian police. After completing the application and mandatory testing, Alex joined the Victorian Police in 2016 with aspirations of joining the highway patrol unit. In 2019 his older brother Josh Prestney also joined the Victorian Police after getting stories from Alex on the life in the force. However on April 22, 2020 Alex’s  28-year-old brother Josh and his colleagues Lynette Taylor, Kevin King and Glen Humphris were killed on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway after they were hit by a truck with the driver under the influence of illicit substances during a traffic stop of another offender on illicit subtances on April 22, 2020. On today's Zero Limits Podcast host Matty Morris chats with Hamish Maclachlan New Zealand SAS and Australian SASR Hamish enlisted into the NZ defence force in 1997 as an infantry soldier posting to 2/1 RNZIR. Hamish deployed twice to East Timor as an infantry soldier. During this deployment in Timor he encountered the NZ SAS which led to him attempting and completing SAS selection and training cycle and was badged in 2003. In 2004 he deployed to Afghanistan and during this rotation he was there on the day and witnessed when Willie Apiata VC displayed acts of gallantry which led to be long awarded the Victoria Cross. After a joint training exercise with the Australian SASR Hamish decided in 2008  transferred across to the Australian SASR and deploying on multiple Afghanistan combat rotations fighting the insurgency. During one rotation he was part of the famous battles in Gizab and Tizak both very successful SASR operations. Whilst in Tizak Hamish again witnessed actions by Ben Roberts Smith that led to being awarded the Victoria Cross.
