Max Roach在1962年发行的专辑《It's Time》是爵士乐史上最重要的作品之一。Roach本人也可以说是，爵士乐历史上非常有影响力，非常重要的鼓手，他对爵士乐的贡献也是有目共睹的。这位出色的鼓手，把音乐上的创造力和政治话语的抒发融合到一起，在这张50多年前的专辑里面，我们可以听到平权的声音和Roach充满情感和创造性鼓点的有机结合。当然，重点还是人声！
