    Significant changes were made to CPT's evaluation and management codes for 2023! This episode discusses the changes to CPT’s E/M codes for 2023. In episode 1, I talked about the changes to the key components. In this episode, I will talk about changes in  specific sections of E/M codes—inpatient and observations services, consultations, emergency department, nursing facilities, home or residence, and prolonged services codes.  These changes will be effective January 1, 2023.
