If you’ve already tuned into our previous episode aired last Friday, you know we’re celebrating our ONE year anniversary this month, since coming out here on the Air and attempting to demystify the world of audio visual and lighting and revealing to you all everything that’s to know related to event productions, behind the scenes tricks of the trade, as well as  sharing insightful tips, strategies, tactics and  perspectives which hopefully have helped and will continue to do so, to plan and produce successful events of all types, sizes and formats: in-person, virtual or hybrid. And because I wanted to diversify this experience for our listeners and give you a wide range of what it’s like to plan events during the current season, I decided to bring on several different event professionals with different experiences and perspectives regarding virtual events.

In today's podcast episode, I get to speak with a very important guy and partner at Valiant Productions located in Boise, Idaho, serving and thriving as a full-service audio-visual company in the Treasure Valley. 13: Virtual Event Details to share with your Event Producer & AV Partner

13: Virtual Event Details to share with your Event Producer & AV Partner

To say that a lot has changed in the event space over the last few months is an understatement, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel and we'd like to share with you  a few important virtual event details that you need to provide your event producer or AV partner for a successful event. We've already seen some great requests from clients looking to dive back in and we're excited to see our industry come together to keep it strong. Over the past few months, we have served and assisted many organizations with their virtual events, especially virtual fundraising during a time when many non-profit and for-profit fundraisers have feared that they will not be able to meet their annual budget goals. By pivoting to virtual, as a matter of fact, many of these organizations have raised more than they projected or hoped that they would, some way above previous year’s fundraising. And the good news doesn’t stop there, by going virtual, they’ve opened up to an online audience that otherwise they would have not been able to reach, an audience that could very much become a live in-person audience, in the near future. Virtual events, in one capacity or another, are here to stay and we’re glad to have this opportunity to share with you our tips and experience  on producing virtual events so far, our hope being that more organizations would consider transitioning to virtual events and we could be a fit for you and your virtual event management and production needs.

In this episode I’m going to talk more about virtual events, about the type of information and content you need to consider and have prepared and ready before the date of your virtual event. We are here and ready to partner with you in transitioning your events to virtual, even beyond the post-Covid19 era, going into Hybrid Events - because you know that’s coming. We are taking steps to educate ourselves on ways to make event spaces safe and compliant so that future event attendees feel safe and ready to engage again in-person. Before we go on, download HERE your free RFP template that we will discussing in great detail and exploring together during today's episode!

12: Virtual Events Technologies to sustain your events and your business

12: Virtual Events Technologies to sustain your events and your business

First off, a warm and very virtual HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you mothers out there! Today is a day for honoring all the women in our life who support and nurture us, from our sisters to our grandmothers to our mothers in law.  Mothers, in any form motherhood might have taken for - you deserve to be celebrated especially during times such as these! Let's take a moment to stop and reflect on all of the hard work our mothers do!

COVID-19 has been devastating for most small businesses, including my own. For most event organizers, promoters, music venues, and entities in the live events industry this virus has been a complete “show stopper.” Tens of thousands of live events have been shut down and nobody knows how long the live events ban will last. Event Organizers are faced with an unprecedented crisis that is affecting every city and every state in the United States, and worldwide. The coronavirus is forcing us to make tough decisions on a daily basis.

I will be talking about some of those decisions during today's Podcast Episode and provide a few tactical steps that can be taken right now to help ensure the long-term survival of our events and our businesses.  Right now is the time to learn something new, embrace the new way of doing events, learn the technology behind it, make an investment in this new knowledge which will pay the best interest long term.

I hope you will join me by tuning in on all major podcasting platforms as we will be exploring this topic together!

11: Coronavirus Chronicles and what can be done about it

11: Coronavirus Chronicles and what can be done about it

Four weeks indoors as a family can make a few things clear. You will know if your marriage is stable and if you truly love your children. You will know if you can keep yourself occupied for a lot of hours. You will also know for certain if you love or hate puzzles, science projects and board games.  I always had a feeling I hated puzzles, but was not 100% sure of that until recently. I am now certain; I despise them.

All jokes aside, the reality is, we are all struggling to deal with the recent outbreak of COVID-19 virus, which will have both short- and long-term impact, and moving forward with scenario planning for a range of uncertainties pertaining to proceeding and recovering in the months and even years ahead.  When facing uncertainty or crisis, identifying reliable and timely sources of information is critical to making responsible decisions.  And I totally understand how this is a stressful time for everyone  and people want to know what they can do now to protect themselves and their families.

In this episode I will be talking exactly about that and sharing a bit of my experience in the quarantine.

I hope you will join me by tuning in on all major podcasting platforms as we will be exploring this topic together!
