Everything But the Flame

Nate Staniforth has created a series of thought provoking episodes on the performance of Magic. He leads with a question that he’s struggled with in creating better performances. He shares his answer while encouraging his listeners to find their own. On some level, I find that the series is reminiscent of Eugene Burger’s audio cassettes, Growing In The Art of Magic. Highly recommended. Quick follow up comment: in the 8th episode, Nate states the show is taking a US Thanksgiving break. Now almost three months later, it appears the series will only have 8 instead of 10 episodes. However my review still stands.

There are thousands of magicians throughout the world. There are genuinely non that think as deeply about magic and the potential it has as Nate has over his career. A few things that makes something special and unique are authenticity, vulnerability and brutal honesty which Nate encompasses beautifuly. Nate’s beyond gifted in the art of human connection and this podcast echos that truth on a grand scale. I can not recommend this podcast highly enough. It’s hands down one of the best I’ve subscribed to in years. Brilliant on all counts.
